  • This full version video will show you step-by-step how to make this beetroot soup with fish head. Alternately, you can use fish or fish meat or even other meat to boil this soup. Or you can even boil the beet root soup without meat. Anyway, I have this fish head at home, so I use it for this recipe. First, please wear a glove! Cut out the beetroot stem & peel off the skin. Cut the beetroot into pieces. Trim the stem as well to be used in the soup. Soak them all in a bowl. I use tomato, leek & shallots (can be replaced by onion) too. Cut them into pieces and wash before use. For the fish head, cut them into half. Wash and pat dry. Heat up some oil, fry the leek and shallots. When they are with flavor coming out, you can add the fish head to fry. Fry them until both sides are golden brown in color. Add a little hot water, let it boil a bit and add another round of hot water. Boil and then add the beetroot stems… as well as the beetroot. Let them cover with a lid and boil. After a while, you can add the tomato and then put some salt in. Boil, boil, boil until the beetroot is soft enough… Try it! It‘s a healthy soup with calcium & iron.     I like beetroot, but always lack of idea what to cook with it. I never thought of this Beetroot fish heap soup before. Thanks for the video Chef! This gonna be my next week attempt. 👍
