Tadao (Daisuke) Inoue was a Japanese musician, best known in the United States as composer of some of the songs featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam series. My goal with this video series is to make available Inoue's great catalog for anyone outside of Japan. Ever since I heard his tracks I have been enamored by Inoue, however at the time there was hardly any information online. It didn't help that he adopted a stage name that was the same as the inventor of Karaoke!
Over the years more and more information has appeared online, finding out Tadao was his real name for example, and just recently I was able to complete a detailed discography for his solo releases. Please support these releases when possible. I will include links in each video where the album is still available for direct purchase.
Sadly, Inoue died on May 30th, 2000, taking his own life after suffering from ocular degeneration (more on this when I find the information again).
Interested fans can visit the Daisuke Inoue Facebook page ( / inoue.daisuk.. ) which still updates every so often with related news.
    Enjoy!

Tadao Inoue is his real name. He was born in Tokyo in 1941. Tadao joined a Japanese great rock band "Jackey Yoshikawa and his Blue Comets" in the early 1960s, one of the most successful band in Japan as a player with a sax and flute.
Tadao left Blue Comets in 1972, and became a composer and music producer and a singer. In about1980, he began to use the name of Daisuke Inoue as a stage name instead of Tadao. He had been originally called "Dai-chan" around him as his nickname since early times. "Chan" is something like a Mr. or Mis. and "Dai" comes from a famous Japanese old male actor, "Daisuke Inoue", so it has nothing to do with KARAOKE.
As you mentioned, sadly he passed away in 2000, leaving many many masterpieces in this world.
(Is it clear? Sorry for my poor english.)
