Hearing you say "I have way too much energy" made me so happy. Obviously I know it hasn't cured everything but I know how debilitating having no energy is and honestly Amy you just look so much better and happier were all so proud of how far you have come ❤️

Amy, I noticed you seem concerned about comments you've been receiving lately. Please don't become one of those TH-camrs who stops being themselves or creating the content they want to create because of comments from others. I would hate to see that happen! You know the truth about your health, life, etc. And that's all that matters. You have nothing to prove to anyone else. So just ignore them and keep going!
People really annoy me when they tell you you're wrong. Telling someone they're wrong when they have a chronic medical condition is like telling someone to stop worrying when they have anxiety like me! Please ignore those barbaric imbeciles! You're a great person and any one that says differently can do one. Much love Amy you trooper.
All my doctors said that to me so many times. Once I got an anxiety attack just from hear one of them saying that to me, after that all of them stop saying this. (my English is not the best)
@@alicejarosch6637 your English is perfect and I can understand you perfectly. Drs don't care very much because they are not the ones that have to experience it every day. Keep your chin up and try to turn your negative thinking into something more positive, it always helps me. Take care sugar. X
@@HollyGrace90 That's great. Yes doctors are sometimes very rude and if something happens they don't have anything to say anymore. I try to keep my negative feelings down and my positive feelings up, it's hard but not impossible.

Have you heard of the Pill Mill? It's an AMAZING pill crusher. So easy to use. Takes no effort/strength, crushes meds to a fine powder in no time. I love it
I work in a hospital and depending on what unit you're on, it can vary how they setup certain things. Its tailored to the patient and the circumstances. How you were taught is what they thought was best and shouldn't matter to anyone else!
I’m a new subscriber and a nursing student. I want to see how you set up your TPN whenever you’re ready to show it. Every hospital does different procedures and all people do different things. As long as it works for you and makes you better it doesn’t matter! Don’t let the comments bother you. I admire your strength and positivity. I’m thankful that you share your journey with us so we can learn. 💕
I keep my hickman taped along the side of my chest. I know mine is a bit lower than yours, but you could still trace it on your skin and tape with with surgical tape (I use the 3M brand, it's the only one my skin will be alright with). My hickman is constantly connected to my medication, unlike yours, but I keep a patch (Mepore, etc.) around it; this will further protect it from bacteria!

Maleen Fischer There's also the stickies/tape that you fix a Catheter tube (can't think of their exact name) with that are useful for this too. (If you can tolerate the sticky stuff on them) you can reposition & re-stick without pulling on your skin so much.

Could you pin the hickman tube to the shoulder of your bra strap (large safety pin, tubie clip or tape) when you don't want it hanging out of the neckline? Keeps it out of the sweatier areas and prehaps less likely to get tugged or caught on things?

Hi Amy, I've been following your channel for a while now but never commented! I just wanted to say how amazing it is to see you with all this energy, you look so much happier and healthier already. I understand from what you're saying that the TPN obviously doesnt solve everything but its amazing to see what it has done after only a short time too. When you said you had way too much much energy I was just smiling away at my laptop because its so amazing to hear you say that when you have been drained for so long. I hope it continues for you and allows you to live the life you want. You deserve everything you have ever wished for and more. You're an inspiration and have taught me so much about EDS, it is a condition that affects a few people I know but i never understood it very well until watching your channel so thank you. You should be scared of the comments like you said every hospital is different and so is everyone’s TPN and set up. Personally I wouldn’t juged someone on how they set up their IV. So happy to see you with so much energy ! Lots of love from Paris and from an another EDS person 🦋🍓💕🏵🎖❤️

@@sherryl1275 the pets aren't sterile and with TPN you have to be super safe with bacteria etc. So while she's on TPN it's safest to not be around the dogs
Sherry L Her dogs live at her Mom’s house, she’s staying at her Dad’s now because of space and that having pets around makes for a not as sterile environment

Something that I've found works really well for dissolving meds is using a specimen container (or any little jar with a lid) so that you can shake it. It's works way better than mixing.
... as a Mom of a Tubie - don´t let people tell you how YOU do YOUR setup! Do it YOUR own way, and if you did something "wrong" - hey that´s life!!! You have to deal with your faults, and you will learn from them!! You´re a brave "girl" - be proud of yourself and Happy Gaining ❤️

Exactly people do things so differently. My friend got lectured but a hospital dr about her tube feeding routine.

I don't go through anything that you do but I still love watching you because of how strong you are In a year I've had nerve surgery on my hand lost my grandmother but most of all I'm loosing my vision and on Monday I'm getting eye surgery on one of my eyes and watching you go through this makes me feel like I can do anything you really do give strength to others even if you don't know it!

You should always wear your glasses if you need them to see! Lol 2 of my co workers never wear their glasses and it drives me crazy! I have to wear contacts or glasses, because My eye sight is so bad

Amy, do you guys have "curos caps" there? They are little alcohol filled caps you put on the end of lines to help prevent infection between uses. As soon as i got my port i got some but then my supply company got them for me. I highly recommend it, they do come in other brands as well though

Not sure if you have them there but I have a holder that sticks to my skin and holds the tube. I’m like you and sensitive skin and the holder agitates my skin so I don’t use them. So you may not be able to use it. If you are interested respond and I’ll take a pic of it and send it to you in Insta.

The hospital I go to school at (nursing school) uses these orange caps for lines and tubes that have alcohol in them! Those might work to use on the end of your lines to prevent bacteria growth?!

I get judged and stared at constantly because of all of my surgery scars. I have had over 30 surgeries in 10 years since I got diagnosed with Acute Flaccid Myelitis in 2009. I was paralyzed from my 3rd cervical vertebrae down to my 6th thoracic vertebrae. I was 15 when I woke up a quadriplegic .

Theres no right or wrong the way u set it up darling everyones stores things diffrently as long as it useful you its what it counts at tge end of tge day plus ure very organised and i wonder were you got the blue trays from as in gibraltar were we live were limited to the stuff the hospital provides us with xxxx keep up ure amazing videos i love watching them xxxx

Ask for some "lollipop" things, they use then on the cardiac ward too hold cables, I used them with my double lumen hick man too keep them out the way and stop me from sitting on it 😂

Have you moved? 💕 also glad that tpn is working wonders!! Can’t wait till you can sustain on feeds (or oral) alone and maintain your weight!! Have you had any side effects from Tpn at all? Maybe do a small video on effects of tpn on you and side effects and the real ness of it if you like... that way you can freely express your experience with tpn without the likeness of people ‘attacking’ you ❤️❤️

I don’t have any chronic disease, but my until I was 16 I couldn’t swallow pills and my doctor always told me that diluting pills makes them not work as well
We have to have a whole treatment room in our house for our little mans PN and feed .. your bioconnectors are white we have to use green bungs on the end of my sons line .. try and loop your line under the dressing if its long enough to do so that way it wont hang out so much
