I fully agree. When my girlfriend told her family, her dad disowned her. And they only reconcilled a few months before he died. But they had missed all that time in between. I also give them props.
my girlfriend is older me she cant get her dad and mum apcet me and her been gay she say she can live without her dad and mum she tell me she cant live without me now we living together and plan getting married one day .
i told my mother and father when i was 12 they said it was a phase that everybody gos thou we never touch the subject again i had boy friends after that but i didn't even like kissing them, then i had secret girlfriend and it was great but she got fed up because i didn't come out my mother got cancer and died 4 years ago and the last thing she said to me was that she loved me even thow i was gay
unfortunatley this scenario happens far too often for gays and lesbians who are not lucky enough to be accepted by their families so my props to AMC for adding realism to this story tamara braun did a really great job
@OriginalLebster I commend you, I'm still struggling, confused and defining of where my sexuality is. Its driving me bonkers because I don't know where to go or confirm. But I know I have done things like Bianca does when she really likes "someone". It has been on and off of the confusion and struggles. But I do wish you good luck with your mother and hope things works out for you.

@vempriex I hope everything goes well... You know you only get one shot @ telling your mom/parents. You have to do it right if that's possible otherwise it's shit. I do recommend being careful for the time being till you are ready and you might want to throw in a debate about gays or saying that you're writing a paper on gay marriage or something just to see what your mom feels about the subject! lol
@javmarie12 I was thrown out.. when i told my mom. That was when i was 15. I came back home when i was 16 she started crying my heart broke so since then we never discussed it. I dont tell her anything, i can honestly we havent been the same, but i also lead a double life which kills me. i'm 21 years old now and i have never introduced anyone to my family. it sucks. But being here for her is fine with me, i get angry @ myself sometimes, but she's my mother. I was thrown out without clothes
