  • Join me as we take a look at Nai Harn and I'm not talking Nai Beach I'm Talking The Real Nai Town which is often overlooked.
    It offers a great choice and range of accommodation loads of restaurants, shops, bars, mini-marts, massage shops and souvenir to name just a few.
    Nai Harn is a great base to go off and explore the rest of Phuket plus it a lot more realistically priced compared to other parts of the Island.
    Or of course, you can just simply enjoy the Stunning beach it offers and relaxed atmosphere.
    What a perfect place to watch the world go bye.

    That is exactly what I was looking for the motorcycle with a side cart 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
    Where can I rent it from ? What kind of license does it need?

    • @thailandtony
      @thailandtony  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There plenty available for hire in the Rawai / Nai Harn area, However, you still require a full motorbike licence to ride one to be fully legal 👍

    Hi Tony, I really need your help please. I've been to Koh Samui and had an authentic real Thai experience. I have now booked a holiday in Nai Harn, Sunsuri hotel for next year, and am now worried that it's massively touristy & westernised, which I don't want otherwise I'd stay in England for holiday. I specifically want a big selection of traditional Thai cafe's where Thai people eat lunch & dinner, I also want a choice of daily massage places. I want these places to ideally be not too far from the hotel. I want a similar experience to Lamai, Koh Samui. Many thanks for your help & guidance 👍

    Hi thailand Tony. You do really good videos. I was just wondering is it safe to ride a bicycle in Phuket. By the looks of your videos there seems to be a lot of road traffic which doesn't really go well with bicycles?

    • @thailandtony
      @thailandtony  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and Thank, Well, of course, this does depend on where you are staying and your biking experience. Places like Patong, DownTown Phuket and larger tourist towns are going to be busier however that isn't to say it's impossible if you are a confident rider but care needs to be taken.
      Away from these areas the roads generally are quieter but again you still need to be careful and i would not advise children to ride in the busier areas or alone.
      That said there are a lot more bikes about and bike riding is becoming more and more popular here in Phuket.

    Hi Tony love your videos . We are a party of 8 coming to khao lak in February. I've seen your motorbike journey to khao lak but it didn't show the town not that I could see . Any chance you could do a video of there before February I'd be very grateful . Thanks Adele

      @thailandtony  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Adele lovely to hear off you.
      Khao Lak is a lovely place and not too far from Phuket and I'm sure you and your group are going to have an amazing time. Khao Lak is very much on my places to cover and I shall be covering it in a lot more detail than the video "journey to" it's a lovely area I am hoping to do this video before February if possible 👍 Can I ask which Hotel are you staying at in Khao Lak? as I may try and include it in the video if at all possible however not all hotel allows people who are not guests to enter their premises but I will do my best even if it's just the outside.

    I was looking to see if Rousey and I made it into your video. If you see a bull terrier in a sidecar, that would be us. Had I known you would be in Nai Harn, I would have tried to meet up for a lunch or something.

    Stopppppp.... you've done enough videos of my absolute favourite place in Phuket. I don't need any more people coming to Nai Harn. Let it be relatively unknown 😅
    Kidding... a lot of people actually come to Nai Harn. It isn't as sleepy as your video shows.
    What I'd like to add that I don't think you've mentioned a lot or at all in your videos is that Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong are a big attraction for a lot of fitness enthusiasts and fighters from all over the world.
    Those areas I've mentioned above have Sinbi Muay Thai, Absolute MMA, American Kickboxing Academy, Phuket Top Team and Tiger Muay Thai all dotted closely to each other. All very famous names internationally in the fight world. You will also actually notice a lot of smaller gyms and yoga places around those areas too. They all attract a significant number of tourists all year round.
    Again, always enjoy your videos especially the ones of the places I love in Phuket! Haha

    • @thailandtony
      @thailandtony  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Yes I must admit Nai Harn is my favourite place here in Phuket it offers so much not just for the tourist I have often said I would like to live in the area however property price there are fairly expensive.
      It's funny you should mention the Muay Thai as there is a video in the pipeline 😂😂 if you check out this video th-cam.com/video/LcpUUnXQDp0/w-d-xo.html which I did sometime back now, within the area of the hotel was being built a brand new Tiger Muay Thai training centre and the owner of the hotel rents the land to the company and asked me to come back to do a video on the Muay Thai centre once it was finished.
      It is now, of course, finished and open is it's very much on the list of video still yet to do and I know that this is a popular topic so I shell be covering Muay Thai at some point but of course there's also a fair amount of research to do on this as there a lot on offer regarding this here in Phuket. So keep your eye out for the video 👍

      Hi, Rosemary and thank you not quite sure why my buy me a coffee page came up with a john doe in the USA ? as I've tested the link and it should show a page with Tony on however this is a very new thing I'm trying.
      I have received your email and shell reply shortly 👍 Thanks again 😀

      Hi, Rosemary, I have tried to email you this morning several times on the email you sent me however it keeps saying email not found when I send the mail so I will paste the email here and P.S Thank you very much for the Coffee 👍
      Hi Rosemary
      Nice to hear from you, the buy me a coffee is something new I'm trying out. It's an alternative to Patreon which I'm not keen.
      Honestly, asking for donations is something I'm not comfortable with as I have always thought of it as a form of begging.
      However, in the last 2 years, I started to realise that making youtube videos involves a lot of expense as well as time, whether it be the right equipment or costs involves with the location, such as travelling etc.
      I never started my youtube channel with the intention of getting rich from it, I do it because I love to show the beautiful place I'm lucky enough to live in and want people to understand about Thailand, It's people and culture as there is a lot of miss-information spread around by people who clearly do not know Thailand and I have always said if I can just make enough to cover the cost of making a video from google ad-revenue then I would be happy.
      Often you hear how TH-camrs make a fortune from there channels and whilst I'm sure the very large ones do, Small channels like myself do not but please do not misunderstand me I am not complaining nobody makes me do it, I do it because I love doing it.
      However, as I now live in Thailand and no longer have a good income from my old job in the UK I have to be realistic about what I can do and what I spend.
      I haven't even scratched the surface yet of what video I could make and cover like the Island, Things to do, Hotels etc however everything has a cost if I want to cover a hotel most of the time the only way to get access to film there is by being a guest / paying to stay there etc which can quickly add up the same with trips to Island etc. At the moment the ad-revenue from google is nowhere near the amount to cover these types of cost.
      I have recently had a few subscribers offer to buy me a coffee for all my efforts in making videos that have been of great help to them.
      Which has been amazing something I was not expecting hence the New: Buy Me A Coffee link.
      I have given this a lot of thought because as mentioned I'm not completely comfortable with it as I have always associated these type sites ' Patreon etc' with nothing short of begging for money which is not something I personally do not want to do, I have never begged for money in the past and I do not wish to do it in the future I have always gone out and earnt my own money.
      However, the buy me a coffee site offers a 1-time tip 'ie the coffee' payment for someone rather than them having to set up a monthly reoccurring payment like on the Patreon site.
      So someone giving me a tip is something I am more comfortable with.
      Primarily any money received from the site will, of course, go to buying me a coffee during filming 👍 anything that may be leftover would go back towards the cost of making more videos covering more and more places and topics.
      At the moment this is the only way anyone wishing to buy me a coffee can do it and yes the payment uses pay-pal as normally it safe and reliable I do want to add a blog and other stuff to my buy me a coffee page as I am finding trying to run a blog via my own web site very time-consuming and complicated matter and have spent many hours learning about WordPress lol My background is automotive give me a car too take apart and put back together and I'm happy but filming, editing, sound, cameras, websites social media is something I have to now spend a lot of time learning about. 3 years ago I did not even like my picture being taken lol and would never have imagined I would be making videos with me in them lol
      Thailand, It's people and culture can be amazing, I'm sure you will love it here if you decide to book and with a little bit of insider knowledge you will have an unforgettable experience.
      Best regards Tony.
