Hitting a helmetless guy in the head is the one thing that you just can't do on the field, especially with the dude's own helmet. I knew Garrett was going to have to do this because it's his only out. Millions are on the line. The reason Garrett was given another chance is because Mason Rudolph sucks. That is not something you hold on to especially after hitting someone with a helmet like that. Bringing it back up now is just plain desperation. You are reinstated. It's over. Drop it and move on.

There was no racial slur...Garret only mentioned this slur at his appeal which he thought was confidential and therefore no one outside would hear his accusation, he was clearly just trying to offer some bs excuse to get a lesser ban. But once his accusation was leaked to the world I guess he didn't/couldn't admit he lied in a hearing, therefore he didn't come clean. I think its telling that all he really said about it was something about him believing that the hearing was meant to be confidential (basically an admission that there was no racial slur by Rudolph).

So, if I understand this correctly. It is perfectly fine for black people to say the so called "n-word" because they are black, and it isn't okay for a white person to say the "n-word", because they are white. This is the definition of racism, not being allowed to say something because of the color of your skin. Not a single white person alive in America has anything to do with slavery, and the same goes for black people. If it is such a bad word, then nobody should be allowed to say it. If you let it be determined by the color of your skin, that's pure racism.

So when I was kid my friends and I went to Kennywood amusement park and got on the Racers (basically two roller coasters, red & green, that race), we would throw dumb insults back and forth. I was on the Green track and being a very clever I say "Oh yeah, Red backwards is 'DER'!". My friend in the Red train retorts with "Well Green backwards is NEERG" but it came out sounding like the N-Word.
Now the entire staff running the coaster are African American and they all instantly look at him and the closest one goes "What did you say??" but this exchange happens as the cars are leaving the station so they can't really do anything more. The whole ride my friend is panicking cause he knows what they think he said and sure enough as the trains return to the station the entire staff are on the platform waiting...
Thankfully in his case the friend who rode with him happened to be black and we were able to explain the situation, but if he wasn't black I have no idea what would have happened.

Garrett saw his career flash before his eyes and is trying to save it with this accusation. If Rudolph had said it he wouldve told people immediately. The fact that he didnt tell anyone this until he realized he was in deep sh!t is supicious

Mason Rudolph as a second QB replacing Ben had enough on his plate to manage then go around abusing opposition. Myles to do what he did had nothing with racial slur, it was his frustration with his team and all the bad plays they were doing. It simply was Myles pressure cooker blowing up at a wrong time on a wrong person

Even worse, I think it was incredibly irresponsible of ESPN to sit down and let Garrett put out these kind of accusations to a player and not provide that player with any chance of defending himself.

The NFL most definitely has the audio. Let's hear it and move on. Deal with it based on the evidence.

Exactly! Because if it was nothing on it we would have heard it. They have a history of destroying evidence

If they even have it. Didn’t they say it wasn’t recording? I don’t necessarily believe them, but its not like it’s impossible
