Hey there Loren! I sang the male parts and mixed the song. I can assure you that the female parts are indeed louder in the mix than the male parts by at least 3dB. Perhaps you might want to check that your speakers or headphones are not boosting bass (as many tend to have this as a built-in feature). Thanks for listening!
