I don’t understand why many people hate this movie, it has a theme that goes well with a favourite two steps from piece.
The theme is great, that’s not the part people hate. It’s unnecessarily loud and “dumb”, and the Decepticons mostly look really generic, just bladed monstrosities while the Autobots are distinct enough to recognize. Sam was really bad in the second movie, in the first he was ok but nothing memorable (to be fair you can say that about most the humans in the series but still). Either way, the music is undisputedly epic.
Well the first movie in 2007 was actually pretty good, the Decepticons were terrifying and threatening as fuck! Especially Blackout. It had good music, a pretty alright plot that kept the movie going, and the action was great as well.
Second movie...okay tbh I kinda liked the second movie. I don't get why it gets...okay I kinda see why it gets all the hate, but tbh I still enjoyed it souly because of the action! Especially that forest battle scene. As always, the music was on point and good.
Third movie, there was a time when I loved this one the most. Not sure why I did, I just really loved this one. Looking back on it now, it was kinda mediocre, Sentinel Prime was meh, they killed Ironhide in it, somewhat decent plot I guess. Definitely don't care for it as much as I used to.
Fourth movie...Okay now we're getting into the dumbster fire. I absolutely hated this movie. I *did* not care for it. For one, I hated Prime's new design, I loved his gruff and tanky design of the first 3 films. Didn't like how they lazily used the ridiculous transformium as a crutch to get around making awesome transformations. Did NOT like the plot. Didn't care at all about the dino bots, they got so little screen time that I just really didn't care. Didn't care about Lockdown, and was pissed they killed off Ratchet like that in the first few minutes of the film.
Fifth movie. K yeah this one was by far the worst of them all, even more than the 4th. The plot is everywhere, the decepticons are boring as fuck, Megatron looks like a damn medieval dude instead of a warlord gladiator. Hated the direction they went with the whole knights thing. Hated the whole knights thing in general in fact. Hated how little screentime Optimus/Nemisis got in that film. Hated how retarded the whole Quintessa thing was. Hated Barracade's new design, hated the human characters so damn much I nearly walked out of the theater halfway through the film. However I can't lie, the music in this movie where Optimus jumps off the dragon which is a remix of the Autobots arrival to Earth from the 1st movie was just so damn....UGHG it was so good! So eargasmic listening to it! But music alone cannot carry a movie. Just because a pile of shit smells good, doesn't change the fact that it's a pile of shit.
