Also westerns wear a helmet although it is not required in most arenas and they don't because of the style but it is something we are trying to enforce into the western riding community. I’m a western rider but I also wear a helmet every time I ride I mainly just do lesson riding and trail riding for fun my horse passed a way last year in may from colic sadly so now I’m just riding my trainers horse she’s been teaching me a lot I can be a nervous rider I’m still a beginner I’ve alone been riding since 2018 and only know walk trot at the moment but soon I’ll be Learning how to canter I’m excited

No hate, I just feel like you deserved more education, especially that western can be pish-posh too! I would recommend researching “Showing Western Pleasure” or “Western pleasure world” so see what it is all about.
