      @@heidih3048 Definitely helps with puffiness. Plus when I use it from the eyebrow up and out it will give a SLIGHT lift to my eyes. Like anything, consistency is the key. Plus I like the way it feels on my face. Takes no extra time. I can do this while sitting at my desk watching youtube. I've had my Nurse Jamie wand for years.

    So excited for your IPL review for age spots. I will officially wait. When do you think it will be posted? I don’t actually need it for hair removal. I was only getting it for the secondary benefits - I have a few age spots and I saw Angie (Hot & Flashy) said it helped with crepe-y skin at the knees 😮 She didn’t mention getting the special attachments. I think those are just gimmicks. She used the original Kenzzi, they have a stronger one but the company won’t say anything about those off label uses. Which 4 devices are you testing?

    I've used driving gloves for years, alternate colours, season dependant, keep in the car when remember :) Lucky mum started, SPF, Retin A, etc. in her late teens! She uses cheap brand skin care, botox she swears by , again stated before lines - i kid you not, she's 50, has skin of a child. Alway applied SPF to all of us, at pre school, even in the winter haha ... Once when returning from holiday, i started moaning, "Why am a the only girl to go abroad and return white, no one believes i've been away, she replied, tanned skin, is damaged skin, always remembered this! Of course i continue .... If i could only afford one thing...Botox, given you can, if must wear protective clothing.. eg 'gloves'!

    Hi Penny! Hey could you do a hair routine video, your hair is always so amazing, you are trained and knowledgable about all things hair, I do have very similar hair to yours. I'm sure many of us ladies do. I do have hair struggles, over processed ends from transitioning from an auburn/burgandy red to highlighted blond, trying to grow out longer hair healthy hair, nice hair right, we all want nice hair that is simple to manage. I know its just going to take time to grow out the ends that have been too damaged. I just thought as you were talking about the hair towel and how you said "then I use it the next day", I was like well what else goes into having nice hair. I am very active and work out in the evenings and I go to work M-F, I just find it so challenging to sort out a good hair routine, any tips would be most welcome . I love what you said you do with the head band and the claw clip, genius! I want to try the conditioner, that is now on my hair list along with the head bands. Also I have those UV gloves, I got them because you talked about them in a previous video, I got pink ones, so great they are available in different colors, they are fantastic!

    ❤👍😍 Thank you for this video Penny!
    Do you have any plans to do a hand care video? At the moment I apply the same layers of skin care I am using on my face for my hands plus using SPF.
    As a supplement I take collagen. My diet is healthy Keto so I avoid all sugar. Keto desserts all the way!
    For devices I use medical microneedling with a dermaroller and Red Light Therapy most days (hands and face). Recently I starting to use IPL on my hands. Can I also use my High Frequency device on my hands to build collagen? If it is a yes, would that be 2 - 5 minutes per hand? My HF kit has 8 attachments but I'm not sure which is best one to use for my hands.

    Hi Penny! Thank you for so much information. I have a question for you if you have time (or anyone who may know). I’m a Newbie to dry brushing/lymphatic drainage. Years ago I got a handled dry brush but didn’t know what to do with it, so eventually just pitched it. Fast forward to your video and another person I follow getting me curious about it again. I’m seeing a couple conflicting techniques: Therapists not recommending to start at the bottom up to heart, but using midline and transverse line to divide body into quarters and gently brushing to groin lymph nodes then armpit lymph nodes (neck would be clavicle lymph nodes.) Next, I have been seeing some people doing circles when the therapists recommend gentle strokes. Some use a brush with what looks like nubs I assume for massage. Can you please help me? This is more confusing to me than micro needling! Any help is greatly appreciated! I was actually starting to look for textbooks on the lymphatic system! 😊💖💜

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! OK so here’s how I do it. I start at my feet and I move up to the groin. Then I start again at my stomach and I do a big circle around my belly button. Then I start at my fingertips and I move to my armpits. When I’m working my head and neck, I move down to the clavicle. Incidentally, when I am doing my head and neck, I start at the clavicle and do gentle Press motions to open up the flow. All of my strokes are light and feathered. There are no actual circular motions. I think I mentioned circular motions but what I was talking about was that big circle I make around my belly button. Hopefully that clarifies that. Does this all makes sense? I hope this helps!

      Hi :)
      So I went down the rabbit hole on that Ingredient (thiamidol) but I didn’t actually try it once I saw that it is shown to be more effective than *2% hydroquinone*
      Well 2% HQ is not super effective….so I abandoned my research.
      Now if they could make it more potent, as effective as 4% HQ then I think it would be a HUGE hit.

    When you use heat with your hair masks is it before or after shampooing?

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s after.
      So I shampoo, apply deep conditioner (typically a mask) then I put a plastic cap on and use a bonnet hair dryer. I have one I got on Amazon years ago and it works great and was like $13. It attaches to my regular dryer and looks ridiculous on but works so well. Then I remove the bonnet and the plastic cap and let my hair cool all the way down and rinse really well. I shoot for *at least* 10 minutes.
      I apply leave in products to pretty wet hair, wring out excess water at the point and then put on the microfiber towel and let my hair dry as long as possible before using the dryer to finish drying 😊

I love the Korean BB creams which are SPF 50 PA+++: Dr Jart, Skin 79, etc.. Wish there were more sample sizes to buy or trial sizes. That would be the ideal way to find something skin friendly that looks realistic, not cakey or orange. I keep looking. Just ordered the Naturium sunscreen. It is lovely but not tinted. I wear it under my BB cream which has sunscreen. Trying to protect my skin.

      In my state you can go back to school and get an advanced education in aesthetics- it includes getting nationally certified in laser and light devices as well as advanced treatments (chemical peels/medical microneedling etc).
      I actually have 2 aesthetician licenses- one that is my basic/facial technician and then one that is my certified advanced Esthetician license.
