I still have this and all the MK1 versions AND I still use them. Just so easy and fun to use, especially with guitar pedal FX. This one is in great condition still! Very 90's sound.
Hey a friend borrowed me the EM-1. I kinda need some guidance for learning the basics, can you recommend any source besides the manual? Or might I need to have another look into it.. Thanks in advance :)
I had one of these in my 20s i regret losing it more than any girlfriend i had. The interface was easy to use and syncing to stuff via midi was easier than most stuff i had at the time one day ill have you again!
I still need to check out older Electribes. I love playing my Roland D2, Yamaha An200,Dx200 with a midi keyboard instead of using the groovebox patterns.
This looked and sounded very cool. But can you tweak the beats or is it just a sampler? For I can see the enticing drive to get for live but I don’t like generic beats anyone can use xD I saw a video about the Ea-1 and loved irs dark tone and drones but someone mentioned this synth as it can do beats and sounds. So curious if this can tweak and modulate a selected preset? It sounds really good though!!
Grooveboxes back in the days: intuitive AF, azz kicking sound. Grooveboxes nowadays: bring your own screen, cigarette shaped with 20 buttons on sides, all settings available via app only.
Its very lofi, not quite as much as the earlier Electribes though IMO. I had the original red one, the green sampler one and the blue synth Electribe, but never owned this beauty!
The ESX definitely has way more flexibility but it depends on what you want to do, too. The EM-1 for example has a ton of upbeat trance presets as you can hear here - the ESX presets are much more diverse but honestly mostly useless to me. If you want to use presets as a foundation to build on, it may be worth looking into.
I own this one. Needs some soldering but that's about it. Super limited sounds though but I guess the fx parameters can help. But this isn't a piece of gear I would buy now with knowing what I know. Probably why it was my first bit of gear.

Les sons de house sont typiques de ces années....🤩🥳🫡
Cordialement 🙏😉
My favorite Electribe hands down
I used the Korg EA-1 and M1 in my live performances for years. They were very intuitive and did not require menu diving.

My all time favorite Beat machine in the world the Korg EM-1!😊

it was a beast
I've had my em1 for 18 years or so I love it
Have you had to repair it?
@@jack3361 yes
Is that the longest relationship you've had?!
Haha I remember having one. I think you only get two synth tracks and you do your best with percussions. Thats how I remembered it. Very minimal.
i have an er-1. ill never get rid of it as long as it still works.
b34 is the beat to holland boys - "i am gay"
Hi thanks for the reference
Great box. I've programed so many original beats/songs. Will have to post a few on my channel.
Remember box from back in the day had its 3 brothers the ea1 ,er1and es1 and loved them all 👌👌

Presets can be tweaked and beats made, wut wut
I really love the er1 and em1 😍😍😍
Still have my EM-1, ES-1 mkII and EA-1 and have added Volca Drum, Wavestate and Sample2 this last year. Be Lawless go Dawless....Good times!
This video singlehandedly convinced me

Teenage Engineering OP-Z and that new Yamaha groove box come to mind!
Your new videos is so cool!
no talking, just presets!
that's what i need before i buy new one :)
thanks JAde Wii
I absolutely don't need this
I absolutely want this
I just sold my em. kind of regretting it now so here for nostalgia :(
The only one that's missing from my MK I collection. Still have the S, A and R, somehow 'forgot' to get an M all these years :D

Bonjour,
Est il possible de rentrer ses propres samples depuis une source externe ?
Cordialement 🙏✊
