I am mightily impressed by the cnc Nigel. Quite an achievement.

Nice informtive video as always Nigel. We seem to have a lot of the same gear... only you have a heck of a lot more and bigger. 😁 I have an Avid cnc plasma table also with a water table and an XP45. I used to do garden signs and the like so it was fine for my needs. I have cut 10mm plate quite easily with it, although not on the finecut consumables and a tad slower. I made my motor guard out of 3mm plate bent up and bolted to the motor mounts. Just in case the motor needs to be removed.

Hi Anthony i can lift the motor out with the guard on as we made it tail so you can do so .most of my work is big so i dont have to compete with garden shed blacksmiths with no overheads that way i can give my small work to them and they give there big work to me and we all survive .

hi again just a pointer mix a big bag of borax in your water table it stops it going stinky and is cheaper that the right stuff .we was creating life in ours as it is a plasma being fired into water and bugs were living in it and it smelt bad.

@@NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith Thanks for that tip. Up to now I have used the "store bought stuff". Which is kind of expensive.

borax for our tank was only £30 for a massive bag and it lasts forever .
