Makes me wonder, if these matches are fake... what else might be? Are the rivalries? Is levan even real? Is arm historian even an eldritch/silent hill horror arm man?
The only way to do it, would be that one armwrestler gives a opening, takes a bad start, holds a position to long. If the backpressure is challenged seem to be easy to see, either it just stopped moving the arm but somehow the person have not won, or the other person have no interaction with there backpressure. If you can find a match, that is suspicious please tell.
I've heard from people involved in older Arm Wars matches that they were asked to conced a few rounds to make the match look closer. I personally suspect that in the new iron house matches they film more than 6-7 rounds and then edit to create comebacks. I do not think they change the winner, but they change how the win happens, or at least that's what I think.
Two terms used today used to have a different meaning years ago when I was a kid, fix and work are now used interchangeably, when I was young a fixed match meant an agreed upon outcome from the gitgo, while a work was an attempt to sell a mismatch as a "legit" match, the talents are portrayed as equal or close to equal when in fact they are not. Could be a lot of works in AW, don't know about fixed matches.
Great vid, thanks. I personally think staged matches in any sport that is supposed to be genuine are an absolute disgrace and any athlete caught throwing a match should be banned for life. I have no problem with staged matches in pro wrestling where everyone understands that it is all staged, but in basically any other sport match fixing is regarded as pretty much the worst thing you can do. It undermines the sport, and costs people who have bet on the match real money. I would rather see armwrestling stay small but be competitive than see it explode in popularity by becoming another version of pro wrestling. If I ever felt like high profile matches were regularly being thrown I would stop watching the sport immediately.
Oh, yeah, that ArmGods "blood and guts" pin 📌 pad with tacks! Evan and Uncle Jon both seem like they may fake some things before and during some supermatches
Probably because he was there in person, as was I. Are we really still questioning UJ agreeing with Evan "Hey, smack me with your drink, either attach fake blood or make sure it cuts for real".. Armgods put on real shows with real rivalries, and real fun atmospheres, for real fans of the sport to come and get involved with, and you worthless haters still try to ruin it in comments. Pathetic.
For me, one that should have beeb mentionned here is the fake match between Travis and Michael in a bar that happened 4-5 years ago or so. They hyped the match so hard, then came to the bar and didnt even armwrestle. They played a slot machine or something. Pretty sure some of you know what I am talking about
Theres no real money in it why fix it. Plus hard to take a sport serious that encourages PED use, and very few that isnt an armwrestler watches or cares. No motive to fix a match. Unless Im missing something.
I always wondered who this guy with devon in the first clip is.... if he is not an armwrestler at all, than it was staged for sure...there is no way a non armwrestler could cause devon so much trouble!!
Okay, what a meaningless comment, fake matches are rare on the big level. Armwrestling is a sport, where you can easily see, if someone is using 100%. If think I would not know if it happened in women's armwrestling as it looks a little different when they lose, on the lower level.
No the reason it won’t make it to the Olympics is because of doping. My statement is double sided though cause athletes are doping at the Olympics a lot more than they’ll admit
Quite a few matches are scripted, unfortunately, especially where there is high-level betting involved. This is nothing new, all sports have had fallen victim to this for decades. It is just a bit easier to do with arm-wrestling due to the nature of the sport
If you have a second and aren't subscribed yet to my channel, consider doing so. I'm trying to reach 10K subs by the end of the year!
Long-time subscriber here: I highly recommend this subscription for anyone interested in Armwrestling.
🐺🐺🐺 @@mcfarvoyou casting Shade on ARMGODS...ARMY watching you mate! You taking a piss on us? Go feck yourself if that true! AHOOO AHOOO AHOOOO
Will do thanks.
Yeah that Kurdecha match was 100% fake! This was blatant & obvious, It looked like a match from the Over The Top movie!🤣
A little unfortunate :(
The Kurdecha match was a massive disgrace. There should be consequences for this kind of shit. It really was painful to watch.
Makes me wonder, if these matches are fake... what else might be? Are the rivalries? Is levan even real? Is arm historian even an eldritch/silent hill horror arm man?

@@gertdillen8495 most probable outcome
Makes you wonder if there have been high level professional matches that were scripted but we just didn’t see it
Where ever there’s money there will be corruption.

todd vs yoshi tbh felt a bit staged@@jakobstisen6366
@@tomber7411 we already know they have all been rigged in the past so it’s a possibility they still are
"Anyway... I'm going tanning" made me laugh, what a guy hahaha
Strokes while watching Alex making fake reactions during the match and referee enjoying that..
You forget about Evgeney Prudnik vs Leonidua Arkona left handed match.
I’d put this in the same category as Braun vs Devon, I.e., one guy was really trying while the other was toying and being dramatic.
I've heard from people involved in older Arm Wars matches that they were asked to conced a few rounds to make the match look closer.

The Mike and juji match, there was a TH-cam video that came out showing them backstage going through the match before hand.
I remember that. It was pretty quickly taken down though, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm sure there is a fair share of both types if you search well enough and have some inside info. Thanks for watching!
Devon is the only guy that can make a staged match look real.
dude wtf, it clealry is fake af
I actually though the Devon match was one of the more blatently false ones... goes to show, perspective is everything.

IMO, this is walking a fine line. This right here is some of the issues you run into when we “try” to make our sport entertaining
The Vitaly vs Silaev match could easily pass on as legit for those who don't know either of the pullers
I agree!
LOL the ref in that kurdecha match. I've never seen it. Obviously he had no idea that was going to happen either
Never saw the Alex match. That was terrible
It kind of was, right? Too bad because Alex is a nice guy.
Nobody talking about Eddie hall's match with Lalas.
Surprised you didn’t touch on the tack match. Lots of people seem to think there was some script to it.

Yea! I had already mentioned that one in 2 of my.previous videos but I could have included that one too
You forgot Prudnik vs Arkona
Ready for a second video!
Devon was paid a lot of money to perfect the act with Braun Strowman.
Great video idea
Thanks. If only more people thought so 😅
RISE AND FALL OF MARCIO BARBOZA!! NEXT and About MATT MASK n MARCIO BARBOZA coming up!!
1:52 What is the name of the song here?
Damn, I had forgotten about all of these...Neil and MMT match was epic, despite them acting over the top
It really was. I love that match!
Looked like cobra rhodes in braun strownans corner..or whatever the fuck he calls himself these days
It was an AW event plus, Cobra is an actor after all.
The reason Vitaly and Dimitri probably faked the match is that there was a "match of the night" cash prize. Sorry bro but you missed that detail
Theres no real money in it why fix it. Plus hard to take a sport serious that encourages PED use, and very few that isnt an armwrestler watches or cares. No motive to fix a match. Unless Im missing something.
Several thousand dollars is enough for some people. Promoting something on top of that too.
Denis vs Devon 2023 was fake and that's visible
Auden Larratt vs Mike Tyson when?!?!?!?!?! ;)
Can you imagine? 😅
Devon v Brawn was REAL.... At least... it's still real to me damn it...
I have those kinds of thoughts too. 😅
lmao
I always wondered who this guy with devon in the first clip is.... if he is not an armwrestler at all, than it was staged for sure...there is no way a non armwrestler could cause devon so much trouble!!
I mean, Devon could defeat Brian Shawn right now easier than this Braun dude....
Braun/Adam scher has some decent arm wrestling experience from what I've heard, probably more than Brian
Rise and fall of Jerry cadorette plssssd
That's a good one.
yeah that match of Neil and Michael has been controversial and he has spoken about it tho.
Yea, I saw his reply to it too!
this is why armwrestling will never make it to olympics
Okay, what a meaningless comment, fake matches are rare on the big level.

Love it. Kurdecha/Zales and Ayello/Juji…what the fuck man.
I know, right. Especially the Kurdecha one really surprised me.
I hate this WWE nonsense.
AW is a real and these nonsense matches cheapen to whole enterprise.
these matchs are an embarrassment to AW
Some of them kind of are. Nice username btw.

Yeah. You're probably right?
Why did you call Devon notorious armwrestler.. 😂
