  • Its been a while but this is a progress report as to where we are with the Halton Warren OO9 Narrow Gauge Model Railway build.
We look at issues with laying the cork sheeting and paint.
BUT the POSITIVE is that we are well on the way to completing track laying and wiring. :-)

Hi Mark. Good to see you are OK and still modeling, and great to see how you are getting on . . .
I think you mentioned you prefer buildings to trackwork. I don't - so it's entertaining to sit back watch you doing such a good job with those kits etc.
On the other hand I rate watching track going down and points being wired up about the same as watching your paint drying, so all in all it will be good to see trains moving and the rest of the layout progressing.

I was recently at the Intermodelbau Show in Dortmund and MTB have introduced some new point motors. They still produce the MP1 but the MP3 has been replaced by the MP4 (has a new lower cost motor). The MP10 continues as a low profile replacement for Tortoise motors (same footprint).
But they have also introduced digital versions of the MP4 and MP10, called DP4 and DP10. Being digital means you don’t need a separate switch decoder to drive the motors. They simply use the DCC messages on your track or accessory bus.
