The game is still fun to some people out there, and would be a better attraction if the developer has a good vision and commit to it. Just look at AoE2, the game has been out for 20+ years, even longer than SC2, and yet it still has an espost scene and support. Thats because the game developer CARES about making it better with constant development/patches/changes over the years. We are at the current states, in large part because Blizzard dropped the ball.

Yeah, Artosis, now Gyuri, it's the end of an era. I don't know how it is in Korea, but in the previous century and possibly even now in Japan, men workers were prioritized over women. Gyuri is married now and they may have decided cutting Gyuri was just one more way to cut costs (on top of only having offline matches starting with RO4, and other things they may have cut etc. etc.). Just smaller budget man, they are trying something to see if they can get it to work and if they get enough support. Totally not backed with any evidence, it's totally guessing. Except Gyuri being married, I believe that is factual.
@@helloken I don't think it had anything to do with her being married, just there's very little point in having her there as an interviewer if they're only going to play in the studio once a season. Caster Park already has plenty of experience being an interviewer on top of being a caster, so if they're downsizing so much it makes sense to just have him do both rather than retaining Gyuri as well.
Great casting as always, setbacks to GSL for sure but it's great to see Tasteless finding ways have fun with this new format and this new duo finding their flow

First game made Maru realized he can't beat Byun in a straight up micro game so he exploited the latter's weak macro with his superior macro. The window mine was the beginning of Byun's demise.
That last game proved once more that Zerg being unable to make eco and army at the same time is precisely the reason why it will never win another GSL. We finally learned as terrans that if we just never stop attacking, the zerg will never recover.
honestly that last game is just medivac abuse on prime exhibit. Poor DRG had no business being dragged through the mud by a 2 base all in terran that got cold feet even when he saw the panic spine.

But conveniently forgetting they’ve been getting FREE live casts for YEARS & are pissed at AfreecaTV when it’s not their fault Blizzard cut funding. I understand not everybody can donate, but if you really love GSL, & you can afford it, you should consider supporting via the Patreon. GSL only stays alive if we help it stay alive. If you can contribute, awesome. If you can’t, you’re still cool. If you won’t, that’s fine. But if you won’t & all you want to do is complain, well, you’re not making anything better, stop being miserable.
