The main concern with the Safe-T Act is not the cash bail, it's the fact that the police can't arrest them. Like if you call the cops on someone for trespassing or robbery, the cops can write them a citation/court appearance, but they can't arrest them / detain them.

Andrew made great points these guys aren't robbing because of desperation really if that was the case They wouldn't WEAR the jewelry they steal, they wouldn't go on IG live bragging and making rappers buy the chain back, they wouldn't go on TH-cam doing interviews. Very rarely do people start selling dope to "feed they family" like they say they go get chains, cars, tattoos not buy groceries and invest it.... just try to be the best person you can we all got some bad qualities but we shouldn't be hurting each other for clout.
His analysis lacks nuance . He's right to an extent but I fall off when the I did it so so could you mindset starts to be perpetuated; it's ignorant. People are born into different conditions that shape the way they think. No one is the same or experiences the same set of circumstances that may contribute to them having an intellectual awakening or a catalyst for growth and self betterment.... Excuses aside, the behavior and mindset to support the behavior could both be shaped by poor circumstances.

55:00 The only thing about stealing food instead of Jewelry/cars or other high priced items is that food is CONSUMABLE and you need to come back to get more eventually. You can't just rob the same grocery store twice because eventually you're going to need food again and they'll recognize you.

About the theft thing, won’t it make sense to rob something more valuable to sell it, so that you don’t have to keep robbing the store for groceries? How many times will you rob the same store or how many stores can you rob for basic needs like food? If you rob something valuable, you can sell it and you probably don’t have to rob for a period of time just to take care of your basic needs? Not advocating for robbery or stealing, but the idea that people are robbing valuable stuff not because they need their basic needs met, but because it’s their life… seems like a bad point by Schulz.
