He poisoned her every night for over a decade. She was sick and seeing doctors. He exposed her to deadly sexual diseases without her consent. He tortured her! It’s so much.
2 years suspended? For anyone involved, or who even knew anything like this, was happening, there should have been significant jail time for aiding and abetting this cruel and humiliating violence, for anyone involved!
The fact that one man said he didn't commit a crime because he didn't force her, despite the fact that she was visibly unconscious, shows his vile attitude toward the basic level of human rights being violated and him not seeing anything wrong with that. To any of the men who said they thought her husband's consent was enough, they should ask themselves if it would be okay for wives to consent to their husband's vasectomy, without their husband's knowledge?
Even with full admissions, is 20 years enough? Her life was endangered by the drugging and exposure to disease as well as the videos violating her reputation in addition to the rape and sexual violence.
He is 71, no one is gonna sign his parole, he'll live the next 20 years post peak as his body is falling apart, he'll be alone in a cold cell. Let's be real, I doubt he is coming out ever.
Way to go France! Inspiring how the entire country has supporter her in this trial! Helps me feel hopeful. If he lived in the states, he could run for office.
So basically, she took a negative as a positive. She says the french form of rape definition is working because there was a sentence. The thing is, this case was so massive. There had to be a sentence whether consent was required or not. So her obvious station, by not requiring consent, is just playing into men and the fact that they get to do what they want. This case was too big to ignore. That's why there was a sentence. Consent is a requirement. Otherwise pedaphilia would be allowed. Because children cannot consent That's the law. So she's. Okay, with me and salt.A good to know every man is going to know That now and she has no excuse because she put it on video that she's willing without her consent.
I think there's more to this story than there telling us because you can't tell me that in those 10 years that she didn't have one chance to leave or escape or even make a phone call, I think someone is hiding something.
@shawndaniels-lr8mx I have listened to the whole story the problem is that you can't keep someone drugged 24/7 because the body builds a tolerance after a week and then you have to give the body the same amount of time to bring the tolerance back down so another words she would have been awake for half the time, she could have done something during that time she was awake.
The subtle victim blaming is not so subtle. It doesn't strike you more odd that it was so easy to find all those willing men in a small area? But the odd part is that a drugged woman didnt notice anything. Ok...
“Rape” seems an insufficient word to describe 10 years of what was done to her.
You make a very good point. What would you call it? Maybe, a decade of sexual assault?
@@Lyle-In-NO A decade of torture .

Madame Pelicot deserves to be named Time Magazine's Person Of The Year.
Time magazine named a rapist person of the year.

It’s the maximum in France. That’s why it’s so good she made this public. It has caused people to realize the laws need updating.
Gisele is an incredible woman. As a man I have enormous respect for anyone who displays such an astonishing level of courage. Bless you Gisele.
Way to go France! Inspiring how the entire country has supporter her in this trial! Helps me feel hopeful. If he lived in the states, he could run for office.
Ms. Pelicot did right. The law has been exposed as a coward, by her brave stance.
I wonder if Gisele would have got justice, if the world had not been watching.
All those men should be in preventative detention.
I think the co-defendents ought to be sued for evey franc they have.
And publish their photographs because the cowards will change names whwn released after average 8 year sentence they got.

Once Monsieur Pelicot is released from jail, he needs to be put on a list and be watched for the rest of his life.
Great points brought up by Ms Pardo!
This is historic movement for WOMEN! This is a basic human right!
Thank you Madame Pelicot
I hear you and I keep you in my heart
I will not keep quiet .
Thank you.
With all my heart and soul, thank-you..

She was drugged. There is more to the story, please go read the full story

It just strikes me as very odd that something that absurd could happen for 10 years and she wouldn't have a clue.
You obviously haven’t been following the case. Go back and watch previous videos. It was heinous.
She was seeing her Doctor about her symptoms that baffled her. Medical community needs to pay attention and wake up.
Do you know what happens to you under anaesthetic?
