Is a home brewer, and reefer - I soak my one gallon phyto glass jugs in p.b.w. cleaner for about 20 min to clean, rinse and then use a spray bottle with SanStar and RODI water to sanitize and then rinse with RODI water through a UV so the SanStar does not drop the pH. Fast and works great. Great Video!
It’s because you probably used F2 without silicates. It requires silicates. There’s a slew of other things but also, it looks like Teteaselmis as well got in there with Nanno.
Hi, mi phytoplankton mix culture became entirely golden-yellow after 5 days, now I have 2L Isochrisis, so I’m really happy. But how can I know the density to be ready to harvest?
@SamuelMENDOZAGARCIA You can look under a microscope. There's really no amount of density that makes a culture ready. It's up to you to decide how dence you would like it. You don't have to have the darkest phytoplankton in the world. LOL. Im not sure why people get caught up in that.
Yes these tents and lamps are well know for being ideal for house plants, we use them here in the Netherlands too 😂.. Whats this plankton about? Food, problem solving?
hey man, I am wanting to start my first nano phyto culture. is it ok to start off with plastic containers? I got them from amazon. I liked them because they have a spout already. I have most of the items needed including F/2 and the same pipettes. I also have a light that should work. I am wanting to do 2gal at a time and have 20 16oz sterile platic bottles to keep it after it's done.

phytoplankton food cultivation is possible to prepare in home?
For aquarium food, yes. It's very easy to culture it at home. For humans. I do not know anything about that.
@@BriansAquariums not human use ,phytoplankton fertilizer how to prepare?
@@Marine_karaikudi you should also be able to buy it from your local fish store or order it online.

Hi, iam have problems with protozoa, do you know how to clean the culture?
I do not. I'm sorry. I would just start a new culture..
Solid video, I have purchased Nanno from you in the past. Didn’t realize you sold ISO as well.
I do, but I have not been culturing as much lately.

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use plastic to culture in.
@@BriansAquariums cool I started that up Friday. Hope I get a good culture
