Hi again. I think you have another version of C4d(R16...R17...?). You can see different cut tools in R18,19 and 20. also you can use them for the other versions. when you select 'Cut' you can see cutting options in the attribute manager. you can select loop cut in this option.

Hi. 'Invert' command is a selection type. First I selected with 'Loop Selection' like a line. Then I clicked to the 'Invert' to select opposite of polygons.
