I think it's quite right to say this is a mad experience. But one that may make you feel more gratitude despite the moment we are all living now. I suppose we can only imagine what it would be like to be there for days with the added tension of being afraid to be discovered and put to death in a dreadful way. But, yes, I'd love a video with more info on priest holes and Catholicism in the Elizabethan era and early 17th century.
I would imagine the priests may have prayed and meditated a lot, which may have helped them cope with their ordeal. They would have viewed their suffering as part of Gods plan for them and would have been content with that sacrifice. 😊
