Hi! Thank you for review. I want to buy this scale, but I don't want trust Xiaomi my personal data and because of this I want to use an alternative app such as openScale. I want to ask is this scale require to register to operate in the first run?

It can operate even without connecting to your phone. However, you should only use Xiaomi's ZeppLife app to record your weight data. Thanks

Go to Profile on the ZeppLipe app. Then, Settings. There's Units there where you can select lb, kgm or Jin.
