You described most of the things maturely. As for the accent, everyone in this world will have some kind of accent and it is totally fine. It's just how we have brought it up and we don't try to change it because we are habituated to talking like this in our country. Indian society needs time to change, even my parents are like get married type and tried to force me and I was scared as shit and now I am working hard and trying to move outside of this house. Please send me luck so that I live my life on my own terms. 💜
Gravy is called Curry in general term but every Indian dish has their own name based on region and community. Only foreigners who maybe unable to spell the Indian names think every Indian dish is a curry that comes with gravy. We can partly blame it to non resident Indians who never tried to correct this mistake that is of colonial origin. The actual curry comes from Southern part of India. All Indians are good at Bollywood dance is like assuming every Korean is good at K-pop. English is not the mother tongue of any Indian community so having an accent is a given unless he/she is into English from childhood. Indians generally understand English better because of British colonialism. That's it. Indian weddings can differ based on region and community. Only those who can afford it, try to make a grand flashy wedding. It all come down to resources. Indian is nationality and Hindus are people living in the region of Indus river. India has 22 major official language and 19,500 unofficial language/dialect. That's why India is often called as a subcontinent. Not every Indian is good at mathematics. Although as a society, people in general give more importance to mathematics and science mainly for historical and cultural reasons. Arrange marriage doesn't mean force marriage but there may be cases of force marriage. In arrange marriage parents take the final call but people can share their opinion whether they like to proceed or not.
actual curry is different from the gravy or masalas that you get in the north...south Indians eat curry n we eat it almost evryday. Yes we call it curry by the way.

I m from bengaluru 😃 hey you get all kind of weather in india. its mini world in a country . language, food, clothing, climate , poor, rich, middle class .... etc I am so proud of my country 🇮🇳😍
Read this, it's worthy. I spent a lot of time writing this instead of studying for Neet, so please do read. Okay, let me answer these from my point of view... 1. Do Indians eat curry everyday? No...All Indians do not eat non-vegetarian, garlic and onion... In my case, it has been at least 2 years after eating curry... 2.Do Indians smell like curry? That's like asking if Koreans smell like Kimchi... Please...Blanket statements are not the best idea cuz India is diverse, as i said every Indian does not eat curry...And probably the thing that makes curry smelly is adding onion and garlic to it...which not all of us eat. 3. Do all Indians do Namaste and Yoga sign? No. Namaste is only addressed to older people than us. And Yoga is not done everyday by each and every single Indian...But many of them do Yoga on a regular basis. 4. India is a hot country Partially correct...some parts of North, north eastern, some parts of the south [Bangalore (where I'm from), Ooty] etc... are not hot, areas near Himalayas receive snow fall. So obviously it's not hot. 5. Are all Indians good at Bollywood dance? Bollywood is not just dance. And Bollywood is not the only dance, every state has its own dance, ex. Kerala- Kathakali, Karnataka- Yakshagana, etc... And no, not all Indians are good at Bollywood dance. 6. India is poor and happy. Wow, I've never heard of anything more ignorant than this. India, the country that has contributed the most in the field of Science (from Medical science to space science), Mathematics ( I don't even have to say), these studies are all basically a part of our culture... Without numbers and zero, there would be no world like there is today. People should keep their mouths shut if they don't know how to respect. Okay, 1 question, what are you gonna do about the poverty in your countries? And for your kind information, India is the third largest home for billionaires and the fourth strongest country and the strongest country in space that can destroy any other country out of Earth, missiles and rockets were invented in India. and a country that has reached mars in it's first attempt, a country that has the most number of medical hospitals and colleges, a country that has donated vaccines to a lot of countries free of cost...Are you still gonna say India is poor? Don't listen to such people, my fellow Indians... And yes, Indians are happy. 7. Indians have a funny English accent. Have you heard of the Korean English accent? To whoever says that Indians have a funny accent, English is not our first language and yet many of the English words have derived from Indian languages. And Indians have their own English words that are not used in any other country (ex. Prepone, Brinjal etc..) You can make your research. And almost every Indian can speak more than 3 languages and understand more than that...So yeah. 8.India Weddings are very grand and flashy. Yes, true... It goes on for 5 days. 9. Indians are good at eating spicy food. No, not all Indians are good at eating spicy food. In my case no. Not all humans have the same taste buds. 9. Indian speak Indian or Hindu language. Wow, yes, we speak Muslim, and Christian, Jain, Buddhist languages too.😶 "Indian" is a nationality, "Hindu" is a religion, Hindi is the language and there are more than a thousand languages with a thousand dialects. There are 22 official languages. 10. All Indians are Hindus. No, All Indians are not Hindus. There are Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis, Zoroastrianism etc... Buddhism, Jainism, Sikh etc.. were all started in India. 11. Indians are good at mathematics. Yes, most of them are cuz we are not allowed to touch calculators. And competitive exams such as JEE and NEET etc... 12. Indians do forced arranged marriage. Not all... but many do. And Arranged marriages are not forced. It is all done with the help of an astrologer. Here is a piece of advise, don't stereotype any country especially India cuz it is very diverse than we think it is. And don't offend anyone. If you know to pay respect then speak... This comment is not only to the Koreans, but to all the people on Earth who see India and Indians in a very negative way.
when I moved overseas, the first person who asked me if I was eating "curry" really confused me coz to me curry was "kadi" and I was like oh wow you know what a kadi is thats cool but then I understood they think everything is just curry. If you say we eat vegetables "sabzi" they look at you weird and go "is that like curry?"😂😂
You know what...f*ck it ima gonna say it- Tell them that we eat "stir fried/sauted vegetables in spices" Tell 'em it's not curry 'cuz curry is something which has gravy in it. We don't eat that every day
Curry is derived from the Tamil word Kari, which means meat. So when a dish is made with Kari (meat), it is called Kari Kollambu. And thus originated an easier way to call the dish CURRY. South East West North parts of India, we have so much more of dishes of gravy, dry, and semi dry! Southern India, we eat rice (staple), different gravies of vegetables and meat, stews, poriyal, upperi, varuval, Biriyani etc so its not only the stereotypical tandoori and tikka and North Indian food. In North itself there so much of variety that a very few foreign people know. West and East have their own ways of preparation. West have a more vibrant food and more pulses as its a dry climatic region. And in the East its more hilly and they have warmer food with spicy and simple dishes. And Down south we eat beef, and a lot of non veg and fishes (KERALA) and we have spicy food especially Andhra and Telangana. Tamil food has a lot of tiffin food like idli, paniyaram, poori, vadai and dosas and their non veg is one of the best. And Karnataka has their Mysooru Masala Dosa, obottu, saaru, snacks!!!! 🥺 💜
Well indians also find other accents funny just like now I am thinking that korean accent is funny cause they blow out wind while speaking English, where as we pronounce each words seperately without mixing them and maybe that's why they find it funny.
Yeah really... No offense but most of them don't even have a proper gramatical sense and their pronounciations are sometimes beyond incomprehensible and here they are making fun of Indian English. 😹😹Lol
Me being a bengalurian when he said he should visit Bangalore one day i was jumping out of my bed My wish was to meet BTS but atleast a korean guy is fine though 💜🇮🇳
3:29 India has different climate. Near himalayan range & north east you will feel cold. Western region has desert so hot. Down in south moderate climate due to sea.
what i feel foreigners mainly dont understand about india is that even though it is one country, there are still so many different states here and each of these states has its own specific cultures, lanuages, food habits, traditions etc. you will not ever find two identical indian states. for example, i am from west bengal and we dont usually say namaste because we primarily speak bengali here and namaste is a hindi word. ive come to realize that a lot of foreigners think of india to be one homogeneous country where everyone speaks the same language and shares the same culture. india is a very vast and diverse country with a lot of varieties so its even called a subcontinent but the only thing stopping the country from being called a continent is that india isnt big enough for a continent.

"Namaste" or this "greeting" gesture is different depends on region, relegion and age, cultural etc. Different state or region have their own way of greetings.....In our state we touch feet of elders (relatives, teachers, known person) when they come to our home or if we meet them.... Specially teacher, doesn't matter where you meet them, you touch their feet and still, even after leaving school I touch their feet if I meet them. But if I go to my home village... I would touch the ground and not their feet since touching anyone is considered improper. And there is another way...... If someone comes to your house first you make them sit and then they have special little pots in which they first offer them water, they bow down to them, then let them wash their feet.... Then they come back and can start the conversation. There is another kind, there is a small village on mountain.... So before you can enter the village, at the gate they have pots of turmeric water, where you wash your hand and feet, then bow down to the goddess at there. They don't do "Namaste" or "touching feet". So there are way more diverse greetings that you can think of. Namaste is more popular because that's kind of known to all Indian and is used widely in social occasion..... Like "Hindi" is consider the main language but that's not true. Me and my neighbour doesn't speak same language in our own home but we speak to each other in common language of that state. Like "Hindi" would be our third or fourth language... Not THAT commonly used language among people........!!!
In south India it is called 'curry' n we eat it almost everyday...it is derived from tamil word 'kari' n there is a herb called curry leaves which is extensively used in south Indian cuisine. Indians need to understand our own culture, cusines, history first before saying there is no curry in India!!
She didn't say there is no curry in India. She said we don't generally call it curry. Also curry leaves are widely used in North as well. And in South as far as I know the cuisine has proper names like dosa, sambhar, idli, wada, rice and etc just like in north. I might be wrong. But I have met many south indians and they never said they call curry their regular food
curry leaves are used in north India also extensively in dishes..but sabji is different from curry and every subji has its own unique taste naming all sabji just simply curry is not right which foreigners do. And there is besan curry yellow in colour which is called kadi very common in Maharashtra and north india.
Although “curry” word is derived from Tamil, it was used by British people when we were colonized. We ourselves don’t really call it specifically by curry but have our own names for each dish: could be pav bhaji, sambar, daal, aloo mutter sabji, etc. I wanted to point out that foreigners started calling it curry just for the convenience. However, calling everything with Masala a gravy is definitely wrong.
@@anushkagupta6680 the dishes you mentioned are all breakfast food. We normally call any nonveg gravy as curry like fish curry, chicken curry etc. Historical also the word curry was used to denote dishes of meat so saying there is no thing as curry is wrong.
Indian spices are very strong smelling. If we are not careful about washing our hair frequently or hang our clothes just outside the kitchen where there is no proper ventilation, this can happen.

The Indian English accent thing... One should never say that it's better than British/American accent just because ours stresses every single letter of a word and therefore is supposedly "clear".English is originally westerners' (England,America,....) language... It should be spoken as it it meant to be...Any language, whether its English or not, the correct way to pronounce is the way the native speakers do(who know to speak correctly) Other accents in English might sound weird for native speakers just as us when we hear our mothertongue spoken with accent by non native speakers... As a malayali, I can assure that its a bit complicated to pronounce many of our words and letters, every language is like that.Someone who pronounces words in the wrong way can also communicate with others and make others understand what he was trying to say... But IT NEVER MEANS THAT IT IS THE RIGHT WAY TO PRONOUNCE JUST BECAUSE IT'S CLEARLY UNDERSTANDABLE...Language studies have been there for centuries for a reason!
most Indians just want to be able to understand English as much as they can so people don't really care about the way they speak unless another guy is able to understand so the accent is like in last in the list of an Indian for example I didn't learn English from school because it was too hard to learn from grammar so I just didn't focus on it and instead learned it from movies and anime etc. So I got mixed with a British accent, USA, Australien and as well as Indian.
Indians have the best pronounciations in the world ....Indians don't gulp down words & letters while pronouncing . We have an apt & clear pronounciation which can b understood by any person of any race ...

In India, we have temperatures varying from 45'C to -45'C. It's so diverse.
Indian can speak English more fluently than anyone Soo our accent is perfect still if someone doesn't know English what can we do😂❤️👍

Only Curry is curry it's made of gram flour.. And that is only other..
Daal is not curry
Gravy is not curry
Just curry is curry.
4. India is a hot country
Partially correct...some parts of North, north eastern, some parts of the south [Bangalore (where I'm from), Ooty] etc... are not hot, areas near Himalayas receive snow fall.
Wow, yes, we speak Muslim, and Christian, Jain, Buddhist languages too.😶
"Indian" is a nationality, "Hindu" is a religion, Hindi is the language and there are more than a thousand languages with a thousand dialects.
Omg your comment is amazing why all people don't think that people who live in india but still criticise india

We told "Namastey" namaskaar . In this time all most all indian told namaskar, namaste

what i feel foreigners mainly dont understand about india is that even though it is one country, there are still so many different states here and each of these states has its own specific cultures, lanuages, food habits, traditions etc. you will not ever find two identical indian states. for example, i am from west bengal and we dont usually say namaste because we primarily speak bengali here and namaste is a hindi word. ive come to realize that a lot of foreigners think of india to be one homogeneous country where everyone speaks the same language and shares the same culture. india is a very vast and diverse country with a lot of varieties so its even called a subcontinent but the only thing stopping the country from being called a continent is that india isnt big enough for a continent.

Aaaai. 1st comment 🥳🥳🥳

In south India it is called 'curry' n we eat it almost everyday...it is derived from tamil word 'kari' n there is a herb called curry leaves which is extensively used in south Indian cuisine.
Indians need to understand our own culture, cusines, history first before saying there is no curry in India!!
That's right and india is consist of not only north india there is south, west ,east and they totally different culture ❤️

THANK YOU
i am gone in love with Min , his shy expression and smile is killing, how cute Korean's are 😍😍💓💓
most Indians just want to be able to understand English as much as they can so people don't really care about the way they speak unless another guy is able to understand so the accent is like in last in the list of an Indian for example I didn't learn English from school because it was too hard to learn from grammar so I just didn't focus on it and instead learned it from movies and anime etc. So I got mixed with a British accent, USA, Australien and as well as Indian.
Indians have the best pronounciations in the world ....Indians don't gulp down words & letters while pronouncing . We have an apt & clear pronounciation which can b understood by any person of any race ...
I really like the most
