yeah, its basically how all buddies felt. we had no idea that this would've happened and the worst of everything was the FOUR days notice! like???? for real??? a group that literally build source music from the ground, that gave them a name, that paid their bills, and kept them afloat for years. even if the girls didn't want to renew (which i doubt so) the deserved a goodbye album, a goodbye concert, the fans deserved better. we invested so much, and i don't mean just money wise, but also emotionally. that was so disrespectful to the girls and to buddies. i'm just sad and a little bitter with how everything happened. i just hope for justice, i hope the girls get their trademark back and i hope for happiness and success in their future activities. but more than anything, i really hope they can be together as 6 once again.
PS: also, thanks for still reacting to gfriend, you're one of the few reactors who still do that :( i have a request, i think you would love, which is GFRIEND - Superlatives (Seventeen Magazine YT Chanel) and GFRIEND Finds Out Which Group Member They Really Are (from BuzzFeed) you might enjoy and laugh a bit. stay safe!

The thing is it cant be due to the girls not wanting to renew because their contract ends in November not May 2021. If it were the members they would have been Sued. Only agengy can termine a contract and in their case it is Hybe controlling SouMu who took this decision.

@@buddyriri Yes, I know all of that, it's been 3 months and I'm still pissed as hell about everything, the termination makes everything worst. And now HYBE wants to claim GFRIEND's brand as their intellectual property, that just makes me angrier,.They have no rights on their name and brand, they absolutely did NOTHING for them. I hope they lose the trademark, justice needs to be done. I still have hopes to see my girls together again as a group.
@@8fitz Yes buddy - I feel the same and my anger has lingered ever since. If only we could have other fandom supports to help us but there are so many blind hybe stans out there.
My wish is for the girls to have filed a lawsuit to get their name. However my biggest fear is the bribery power of that so powerful corporation. Maybe the girls didn't want to bet their future career because of that - who knows ? Maybe korean justice can be corrupted which will make us doomed. There is a law passed in 2014 which states any group debuting after 2014 can get their name if ALL members leave agency. That's what happened with Gfriend so I still have hope.
Otherwise, I really hope the girl would at least get one project together - we don't care about what it is (could be a variety show, vlog on youtube, irregular instalive ...). Just something OT6.
Fortunately the girls are stronger than ever and they have been doing much more towards us than ever (whereas we don't pay their salaries anymore ...). That's why I want to stay with them as I retire from this trash industry.
Nothing has ever been fake with the girls: their friendship, their love for us ...
I am proud to be a buddy. Let's keep fighting and not allow any defamation by non-buddies who - for most - know NOTHING about Gfriend case/history/achievement/success and business (not many understand what an acquisition means).

ah it’s been a long time since I’ve commented, I’ve only just got to catch up with your videos now!
I’m still supporting the girls as they continue through their new journeys, and I couldn’t be prouder of them! Ofc I’m still upset and angry about the whole situation, I just wasn’t prepared for waking up to news like that, it’s still so confusing as we still haven’t had an explanation.. but if they are still happy and healthy that’s all that matters, they have this opportunity to try things they weren’t able to do before so we should think of the positives about this and think about the past 6 years they’ve been together and worked hard for us! 4 members left to sign, I also hope they’re enjoying this break as they worked super super hard especially last year with 3 comebacks!
And as I’m typing this, Yuju’s voice was heard in an OST for the kbs drama Police Academy! She’s had the collab with SanE and an OST (called Comfort) for a different drama not too long ago and now this!
Gfriend performed a lot of their bsides before, some with choreo and some without but are all fun to watch! They also did a ballad version of summer rain and sunrise! And an emotional performance is the Here We Are performance, made me cry so much!

21:10 this performance was for their avatar release in a famous game in Korea, this game released Gfriend's avatar and voices that's why the pictures looks kinda weir xP There's also Apple versions of the avatars.

Nobody prepared for gfriend d word, I even anticipated for a comeback around this month because of some rumours going around. But instead I received 'that news' and I'm felt empty.. at some point I felt that I was betrayed even. But I'm okay now though it still hurts

I miss them so so much too, well they are my ultimate k-pop group after all. I miss my ultimate bias too so much, she is my cutie sexy bunny (guess who it is with my nickname for her lol?)No other kpop group will be as in-synch while dancing as GFRIEND, well maybe Dreamcatcher lol, there will never be a group so talented and unique as GFRIEND, they are already LEGEND in my eyes and in my heart. A LEGENDARY GROUP who has made history in K-pop forever by doing so many legendary things that has never been done before, a group who will maybe be imitated but NEVER be equaled.
I miss them so much... but it's getting so much brighter and better... VIVIZ was just announced, Yennie Sowon have their own dramas and my ult of all time Yuju is vlogging, dancing and i bet OSTs are coming :) I miss them so so so so much...

Watching Gfriend's Rough ballad version while they're still on hiatus right now is like watching Into The New World ballad version of SNSD with only the OT8. We may have high hopes, now that they can definitely get back one day, but the pain still lingers. And this is me speaking as a Buddy for only a few months; I couldn't even bear to imagine the pain the OG Buddies who's been since the girl's debut are feeling.

And yes, we really feel you Kaia, Gfriend disbandment was like in a no way place it could happen so fast and so.. idk, so unproper like this..
I mean, there is NO way buddys will ever be prepared for the sudden news,, why?
First one, last comeback 'Mago' has drawn attention of sooo many new fans, international fans, or even non-kpop fans so the chance to go more popular in international market for Gfriend was big.
Second, GFriend had just entered Hybe ent., they even got to do the photoshoot for the Hybe museum and stuff,, why on earth a newly group would dissband if they just got in?
Third, there is no sign of dissbandment. At. ALL. They were doing well and then suddenly Gfriend's all schedules got erased, and we're pretty sure that they did it almost like they were in a hurry or smth because their schedules got erased just a day before they get started filming.
Fourth, not done with the sudden information but ALSO sudden 4 days to a fully ending contract, from this one i'm sure there were clearly something else going on behind the "We want to let our artist explore more of their career" thingy.
Last but not least, there were no slightest information/explanation from Hybe ent. We know that Hybe didn't handle the management in soumu but think about the fact that Hybe literally own 80% of Soumu's stock, so at least they could, well, tell us something or what their thoughts abt GFriend dissbandment. I'm so sorry in advance if my words could make one get offended🙏🙏, but i'm a Hybe stan as well and i'm still keeping my track with Hybe artist comebacks & stuffs, i'm so sorryy i didn't mean to start fandom wars or something🙏 i hope you understand,, i'm just saying that i'm a little bit upset about that one, just that one, but it's okay now.. i just hope that no other groups will end up having dissbandment as bitter as gfriend's.. Believe me, who would want that happen with their faves, right? love you all, peace🙏❤.
And finally, not giving us a proper farewell concert or something, and even in the contract end day, there was no further clarification, as if like they were saying "I've done the announcement 4 days ago, so deal with it" in a soft kinda way.. And it kind of giving me a hint of GFriend's last online concert, i thought that one might be the real "farewell concert", since in that day GFriend members cried so much as if they already knew it's their last concert as GFriend :'(...
Phieww.. that's a lot😅 so sorry haha i just felt like i had to tell this to you guys and free myself from this continuosely anxiety overthinking,, if you guys read it to the end, you have to know that i really appreciate you so much😊💖
But other than that, i'm happy now that it seems like a better thing that they joined their new agencies, i mean now Gfriend members can shine more as theirself... altho i miss GFriend as a group, but their happiness is the most important thing and it's our duty as fans to keep supporting them whatever their path leads😁💪

Gfriend didn't disband. They're just not with Source Music and Hybe. Hopefully they're getting rested and exploring each on their own. When they do get back together they'll have so many different experiences to compare.
