tutorial, let me know what you think!❤
really like how slowly you went through it!
What do you secure it with?
@@brokegirl1452_maybe bobby pins.
Very nice. Thank you. What are French pins? Are they the elongated U-shaped hair pins? Thanks again.
That was very nicely done actually. Easy to follow and explained well. Thank you for your effort!
“twisting one full turn counter clockwise”
My hair: sorry this is where you have to go on without me
lol
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha!
😂
Step one: have hella long hair or else it doesn’t work 😂
No madam!! I've got knee-length blackish brown hair. This hairstyle doesn't work for me.
It’s easier when you don’t have that extra tail to tuck in. My hair is chest-long and thick, so tucking it all in there and pinning in place is a hecking challenge.
It works with from shoulder to chest lengths for me. If it’s much longer, it ends up looking too bulky and odd.
Ya mean extensions
Na, there's such a thing as hair too long for this style. Mine is almost knee length, that's too much length, I can't just tuck the majority of my hair the way she can tuck away her ends
Ah yes. The part of the 90s I like… now all you need is a slip dress and a shawl to break someone’s heart on a blind date
Don't forget the tendrils!
@@ladosis5596 Aaaah! The tendrils!
why breaking their heart
@@ladosis5596what's that
@@himaririku5289 Aw! Haha it’s a figure of speech in this context. It means look unattainably good
Finally! A French twist with long hair! I’ve always found French twists difficult with my long hair because I’m just stuffing my hair in, rather than wrapping it properly to create gentle tension and a direction for the hair to go, like how you exhibited in the different directions of twisting the hair.
Looking forward to trying this.
Thank you ☺️
Can confirm, this actually WORKED 🤩 i did it this morning and it’s been nice and secure all day!! I decided to hold it together with two side combs on the folded edge and a pretty hair needle on the top, going through the middle. I have thick hair and I’m so excited to have this as my go-to style for work everyday. It doesn’t pull at my hair or damage it because there’s no hard tension from a hair tie. Thank you so much 🥰
@@oliveoilsupremacist5314You've inspired me to try it. I'm growing my hair to donate, and it's almost to the bottom of my butt. It gets tangled from my computer chair, so I usually tie it up in some way. I try to do different things so I don't stress one part of my hair too much, so a new 'do to try is always welcome. 🙂
Same! Definitely going to try this tomorrow as I've never been able to do a proper French twist due to having long hair... so much hair to stuff in like you said!
This is a great tutorial! I’ve always wanted to do a french twist but didn’t think i would be able to tuck in all my hair. Its to the top of my butt. I do have layers but i think this is going to work for me! I cant wait to try it! Thanks 🙏 ❤
She is a genius and so smart
Wow finally an actual proper tutorial that works for both people who are visual learners (thanks for going slow, and also not cutting or editing anything in-between) and people who learn by listening to instructions. You'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) by how many BAD tutorials there are out there.
No cutting? So the twist just magically holds itself up? Otherwise I still have no idea where to put pins in
Next to the fold on the right side & hair on your head.
@@Evey108 You're kidding right? You obviously stick the pins along the crease where she tucks the rest of her hair in.....
She means cutting the video not the hair 😭
Step 1: have perfect amazing hair 😭
Nah. She does have gorgeous hair but you don't NEED it ☺️
Stopp! Your hair is gorgeous im sure 😊
In Spain it is called “italian bun”
meanwhile in Russian it's called teacher's bun lol
I guess France, being just across the border to them, was not exotic enough to name something nice after 🤪
Love that you took your time moving slowly to really see the exact way to do it. Thank you!
I love how these chicks can just twist their hair or do this and that with it without any bumps forming at the roots. So frustrating. Try that with hair twice as thick!
Yeah mine isn’t necessarily thick but i have ALOT of hair so i know what you mean . You just have to smooth it out with a brush. I swear is women need at least four hands or more to do our hair 😂
Finally a slow, uncomplicated, simplified and sensible tutorial. I thought my hair was too thick or long. Ty🙏😻 now to find my one last French pin😅
What is a french pin and where can you get one? Lol 😂
Everything was just fine till that pins. I have very thick and heavy hair, pins are never enough for my hair😭😭😭
Same i put the pins in and my hair just undid itself 😭 I think we’d have to use a bigger claw clip to hold the twist in place but that defeats the point of the look
See my comment above. Try hair pins with one end bent outward in a "U" shape. Push the pin in an extra bit, to let the "U"-shaped hook grab a bit of your hair on the way out. Only way I've ever been able to wear this style. (My hair seems to "spit out" bobby pins. With this trick, I can wear a twist for at least 14 hours.)
Oh my goodness i know! I can barely use bobby pins with a tiny bit of hair and one is not enough i have to criss cross them but i agree if i used a bobby pin it would just fall or “spit” it out 😂thats so funny cause thats exactly what its like too 😅
The actual way this is taught in beauty school requires tons of backcombing and about 50 bobby pins 😮 oh! and a super freeze hair spray
Omg that hair is beautiful!!
In my experience, if your hair is longer than shown, you might need a twist and a half. (My hair just touches the chair seat when I sit down.) With hair that long, or very thick hair, you may have problems with the hair pins staying in place. (The weight of my hair seems to almost spit them out. Seriously, they become dangerous projectiles!) Over two decades ago, a very skilled stylist taught me a trick - bend one end of the hair pin in a small "U" shape, going out to the side. When you place the pin into your hair, push in a bit too far. The little "U" you just made will act as a hook and when the pin tries to pop out, the hook will keep the pin from coming loose.
My hair is about the same length. Thank you for these tips! The one about bending the pin is genius; my hair is soft and fine, so it's hard to keep pins and combs in place. I lost one of a set of French pins (those are like combs but with two thicker prongs, right?) because my hair was so smooth that the pin fell out and I didn't even feel it.
You need to tease it a bit and use some hairspray or gel.
Best tutorial! I know how to do a French twist. But your tutorial explains the best.
Magic hair tutorial! This kind of short vidéo is perfect to teach us how to recreate easy and quick hairstyles. Love it ! ✨💯💕
Wonderful to hear, I will share more soon. ❤️
Ahhh . If only my hair was like 20 inches longer 😆
Perfect! All the other videos I’ve been finding either have shorter hair (so the technique doesn’t help me), or the styling is done by a stylist behind the woman (so the technique doesn’t help me). I wish I could save shorts😩This video is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Finally a tutorial that's slow and breaks it down step by step. Thank you!! 💥
loves that someone explained it clearly
Beautiful!! But not so easy
For me! It looks so elegant ❤️
DAMN your hair is absolutely GORGEOUS
Thank you for the slow-motion tutorial. Loved it, achieved it.
You may need to twist more than once if you have longer/thicker hair, USING YOUR WHOLE PALM to flip it around, not just fingers, tucking it in as you go, (counterclockwise for right-handed 🤚 people and CLOCKWISE for LEFTIES 🖐!
Love this, it's so helpful for others, thank you! 🙌🏻❤️
Thats a good idea 👍 thanks
Beautiful hair and great tutorial. One of my favorite hairstyles to the present.
Your hair is gorgeous ❤️
Would love to see your hair routine and what products you use! Your hair is goals 😍
This style is absolutely gorgeous!
Finally I could do a French twist! Thank you!
Beautiful 🥰
Love these simple instructions, thank you!
Your hair is so pretty!
Thank you!
gorgeous hair!
You're hair is literally goals omg😍😍
Thank you, Alex. Perfect as always
So it’s really that easy huh ?! I’ve been struggling with this style and always wanted to wear it
Me too!!!!
This is the hairstyle i have almost 24/7 but with the help of claw clip
This video helped me so much to understand how I have to wrap my hair in order to use a claw clip. I have spastics in my hands and I found no video that slowly step by step explained what to do with which hand. Thank you so much, I was finally able to do a French twist and use my claw clip 🩷
Wow, I just used a pencil!
How long does the hair need to be for it to work? Mine isn’t nearly that long. Would love to learn hairstyles like this.
You didn’t show how to get it to stay. Bobby pins?
Yeah, same question here. How'd it stay without falling down? With a pencil or chopstick? 🤔
She said in the video that she secured it from bottom to top with French pins. I assume Bobby pins would also work.
A pencil or chopstick 😂😂😂
Thank you SO MUCH @AlexGaboury for making this video! I am a dancer and have never been able to do this because I have long hair. I have looked at various tutorials on how to do a French twist and yet have never been able to do it, or when I have done it, the twist part is too high on my head which I don't like, and I didn't know what to do with the ends of my hair. This video is PERFECT for me!! Thank you for doing this!! Now I can wear a french twist for dance or/and life!!! 🥰❤️
I've been looking for this my entire life
She means gather your extentions
I bet this is the easiest tutorial of French twist. Thank you girl. ❤
Oh my god I did it!!! 😮 I’m terrible at hairstyles but the way you described exactly what to do made it so easy 🎉 thank youuuuu 🙏
Love the slow motion making it easy to understand and follow
Very nice tutorial . I’ll have to try when I get the pins. I love your voice and your instructions are very clear. I think you are the perfect teacher and extremely elegant and beautiful.
Watching this in 4C. But still invested 💕
We can do it! Also looks super cute with a claw clip or u-shaped pin! They’re on SHEIN
As long as your hair is sufficiently long (which admittedly, in 4C can take a while), I'd reckon it's be easier because the texture gives more purchase and it probably lasts longer and looks super cute
@@ladosis5596 my hair isn’t “long”, wet, it hangs to my collarbone, and that’s enough. I run conditioner and gel through it and let it air dry, then deep side part. Once it’s mostly dry, I run through it with shine serum and style the front. I like to use a bobby-pin on either side behind my ears to give a sleek profile. Then, smooth the sides back with my hands (and no product) like I’m making a low ponytail just like the model in the video. It’s the same process, just a different texture. If you can grab hair at the nape of your neck, hold tight and twist! Growing up in the 90s, I remember TONS of aunties wearing this style and it didn’t “take a while” 🙄 what makes it modern and fresh is the fact that it’s not tightly lacquered and stiff. I wouldn’t even get overly fussy with the edges. A pretty hair pin and some lipstick/mascara/earrings et voila!
I wish there were influencers with thin fine hair. None of this stuff will work for those of us who were not blessed with nice hair
Absolutely amazing! Definitely easy! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I have long hair and I’ve been struggling.
AMAZING! Thank thank you. I always tried to just twist my entire ponytail & get it into a French twist, but that was never as beautiful as this method! 💜
Oh I see, so my "problem" truly is that my hair is too long for this style! Good to know ☺️
It works ❤❤
tips: use just one finger to twist if your hair is shorter than her
Love this tip, thank you for sharing!❤️
It actually worked!!! I did it! I can never ever ever get my hair together the way you do even when I follow it step by step. But this was 1. 2. 3. Easy peasy
Superb, thanks for an excellent tutorial ❤
Holy crap it works! I've never been able to get a French twist to work before
Thank you! You went slow enough so I could do this!
This method is so simple, i always twist from the bottom to top then i put a clip over it. I prefer this way because you can tighten the roll before you clip it into place.
Finally! I was so confused on how to do this and you helped me do it first try! Thaaaaank you!
This was such a good descrition! Thank you 😊
Thank you! I appreciate how slowly you show the process as many tutorials speed through it and it makes it hard to replicate.
Also, I have long hair like yours so it's great to find tutorials from gals with longer hair. One of my fabourites for longer hair is a no hair tie bun using basically the first part of this tutorial; twisting your hair around your hand, over and over then using it to pull back over itself. It's hard to describe and takes a few tries to master but it's a life saver for longer hair and when you don't have a scrunchie on hand or need to put your hair up in a pinch!
My hair is too thick to wrap around 2 fingers 😭 French pins also don’t stay secure on my head even when I use 15 of them. I love this style
Nice instructions. Thank you
Awesome instructions!!
Step 1. Grow your hair 😂
I thought she said “how to make the best French toast”-
Best tutorial ever
BEST TUTORIAL EVER
Do you have extensions or is your hair that long and thick? Could you do one for shorter hair too?
It’s beautiful!😍
Love it! I tried it & it works!
Los tutoriales sobre peinados son muy buenos, gracias, ojalá y así como se ven se pudiera jajaja jajaja lo intento y jamás m salen así de bonitos!
Thank you so much ❤
Oh my God! I did it! This is the best tutorial I've seen, and I've seen a bunch... thank you!
This makes me so happy to hear, thank you!❤️
If my hair looked like this I would never have it up
YOU BLESSED SOUL I CAN FINALLY DO THESE
So beautiful!! 💚
LOL! Now, I can't even tie a scarf right, and you want me to do this with my hair???
Wow so perfectly done! Nice work! But I can't stand my hair that long so no French twist for me sadly.
Finally! A video in slow motion 🎉 APPLAUSE 👏 TY
🙌🏻🥰
Looks so professional and pretty. 💖
Won’t hold; do half the hair to one side criss crossing pins going up first then do that twist and pin the opposite way. Make sure you back combed for bobby pins to hold.
beautiful so simple
So well explained👌👌💕
it worked! thank you!
Gorgeous and fantastic tutorial
Thank you! ❤️
Cries in layers 🥲
OK wow, I legit thought this wouldn't work on my curly hair, but it did. (The curliness makes it look messier though.) Thanks
You overestimate my habilities
First time I can do it well!! Thanks to you! I have long hair similar to you and before this video I didnt understand how to do it, I thought it was only for short hair girls
Great hair, great hairstyle and great figure
The perfect loop was cherry on top 🍒😘
The loop is SEAMLESS.
Brilliant! My hair is not quite that long and thick, so may try this with a couple of my clip in extensions to see if I can achieve this. 😁
Wow, wait till I grow enough hair
