I know it's for Disney but I hope they touch on the many burdens/realities that comes with being a doctor in acute health care. It's not just walking around with clipboard and randomly saving lives. Healthcare is an intricate and delicate process. It's intense. It's an intimate connection with a patient at their most vulnerable time of their lives. It's also lots of electronic charting and notes. Its dealing with the consequences of social issues like poverty, DV etc. I dont mind the message about balancing life and work. But without addressing the realities of medicine, you do the show a huge disservice. Acute medicine is not squeaky clean and isn't always warm and fuzzy. It's drab and cold - both cause of all the sanitization and the blasting air conditioning. But medical professionals add warmth and humanity to the environment not the other way around.
