Familia, this is sad song ever as IU make this song as a tribute to her two friends who died because of suicide, she kinda wants to reserve her memories with her two friends (Sulli and Jonghyun) it will make sense if you guys watch the lyrics too!! The girl on the dragon represents Sulli and Charmander that turns into a dragon is Jonghyun as that's his favourite ever character in pokemon when he still alive. But in the end, she feels lonely because she lost her dearest friends but she wakes up with a smile from the simulator thingy as she successfully preserves her memories with them. This is what I think about what this video is about because she also made a lot of other songs for her dead friends, her best friend Sulli recently died last year. But there's a lot of metaphors in this MV that could have other actual meanings.

This song is about loosing friends/love once and how they are still in our memory even though they are not with us physically. even though it's sad the memory of them being together is not sad so for the once passed away it can be a relaxing thing to them but for others it can be sad because we loose them and everything about them ( for the past few years some kpop idols committed suicide because of really emotional reasons) so the lizard and the 2D girl represent the lost ones and the 3D version of IU represents her self seeing them all happy in their own little place.
