I personally like to refer to Mario as 'Luigi's Brother'.

Wrong. Canonically, Mario and Luigi are twins. They were born on the same day. This is according to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island.
So in the games. They are the same age.

It feels good that Luigi is now, not only an important character for the Mario franchise, but also the entire gaming industry, just like Mario. And without him, who knows how the industry would become.

I’ve always used Luigi ever since I was a little kid going to my friends house and playing his Nintendo, you know how it is my Console I’m first player rule 😁. But that didn’t matter to me since Luigi has always been my favorite character and green is also my favorite color

Actually, the brothers are fraternal twins. I always thought that Luigi was the younger one too.
Luigi is younger though. Mario is a few seconds older I believe. Anyway BOTH were brought by the stork; instead of traditional means, so who knows how that works, but trust me. Mario is STILL cooler 😎... I mean OLDER 🤪

Arguably his origin as a coward was the commercial for the Atari release of Mario Bro’s.
Sung to the tune of of the classic TV show “Car 54, Where are you?” It shows Luigi being chased around by all the creatures while calling for Mario.

Fun Fact Luigi's first video game appearance was actually in a game and watch game that released 3 months before Mario Bros in 1983
There was a different version of Super Mario All Stars that included Super Mario World in which Luigi had an updated sprite. I got rid of my SNES and that cartridge that my grandma and I had so many memories on much to my dismay in retrospect.
Good video, but I would kind of disagree about Luigi's Mansion being the game that started his personality traits. Technically I'd argue his personality ACTUALLY started in 2000 in Paper Mario for the N64. Although Luigi is not playable, his diary can secretly be read under the floor boards after every chapter Mario completes. Each entry tells us some juicy secrets about the green one and he even hosts a parade at the end of the game for a job well done. Than after Luigi's Mansion we learn even MORE about Luigi in Paper Mario 2; including the fact he had his own rph adventure; that Nintendo has never made because they are mean. 👹🤣 Also you didn't mention he was in the Mario 64 DS game or that he was a card dealer in a mini game. Still you covered MOST of his appearances and quite well; so good video 👍 I just wanted to point out his character development starting out as early as 2000, and NOT 2001. However 2001 was a bigger deal for Luigi since it was his first SOLO game. Yes I'm proclaiming Luigi's Mansion as his FIRST solo game and not Mario is Missing because that game sucks and doesn't count in the overall Mario lore. Plus NOONE likes that crap! 💩 ( or STEVE in Smash... 😒)
You didn't mention his appearance in the Mario Allstars version of Super Mario World. He looks different and even has different animations when jumping and shooting fireballs.

@@JPabloRL When exactly? Things for the Mario Universe didn't really start changing until the 2000's. Mario Bros. and Peach being 24. Mario and Luigi NOT being plumbers; until Nintendo realized how STUPID that would be. Jump Man being Mario and Luigi's Father. The Koopa kids NOT being Bowser's offspring. Baby Bowser and Bowser Jr. Being different. Even Dr. Mario being a different Mario. But I don't recall of ANY drastic changes happening in the 90's. Is there an online article on what you're saying? 🤔
