Everytime you come out with one of these, it makes me want to switch to KDE. And even though I'm already using a tiling WM, I'm still thinking about it.
You will love having a plasma desktop. It does everything windows has tried to do but failed. The system is set up to be easy to use right out of the box but also beyond customization too. I suggest researching each setting before changing it because plasma can be broken if you change things you don't know what is being changed
A lot of it was hard to do on arch since the tutorial was basically for kde neon. Although with some searching here and there,I was able to configure it. Thanks for the vid
Hieee!! Me bhi same krna chahty but just like you, i wanna do that for arch kde , can you pleash guide me a lil on where I'll face issues?! I think that'll provide me just with some insight before actually applying it , i shall be really thankful 👉🏼👈🏼
He's using KDE Neon in the video. Kubuntu which is an ubuntu based plasma edition is stable and also manjaro plasma is another good edition. I have manjaro plasma installed on my work laptop and its extremely stable.
I followed the tutorial, unfortunately I'm not able to use the tiling Windows manager, I don't know the key shortcuts, I can't even close the various windows, could you help me please?
i still wanted latte dock features even though it's crashing and resource hungers one of most useful latte dock feature is it can appear even in full screen videos
I really like the Nordzy iconpack But sadly my pc crashes on KDE so i use Gnome. Its also verry beatifull. Maybe you could make another video about Gnome customization. 🦆
Hello! Congratulations and thanks for the tutorial. Only issue I had was with system windows such as Settings and Dolphin. I can't move them with the mouse and the close, minimize and maximize buttons are gone. Any way to restore them?
Bro I am currently booted up from a live usb. To verify things first, I checked for the 'otto' theme on the 'Global Themes' option, but its stuck on 'Loading more...' even though it hasn't loaded even a single preview. Will this issue would be solve if I did a proper installation, or not?
probably way to late my response, but in case it helps anyone else, if you meant that the manager says that "it isn't a kvantum theme" is because there are two Otto themes, which one of them is for kvantum, so its better to search in your browser like that, as "otto kvantum"
You need KDE version 5.25 or higher. And when you edit the panel, on the options menu over to the right side, there is an option to enable floating panel
Why is it this difficult to install a theme in KDE? It should come with all the screens and Icon and settings done. Am I missing something or just lazy. But I always miss something.
It isn't actually difficult. You don't HAVE to use Kvantum. Otherwise everything is in the appearance menu. I have a perfectly good setup without kvantum, because it caused me bugs on my last setup. Otherwise, everything is installable from the settings and the store

Glad you liked it!

A miniature trailer of the end result in the beginning would have been great
And great work on the Theme
Definitely gonna try this! Love it! Thank you for the Christmas gift :)
Welcome! 💜🫂
Note: Bismuth was officially discontinued on January 31st, 2023. There is an alternative to that of which called Polonium
polonium has also been discontinued
funny both discontinued
Thank you for this very interesting customization video. It looks very very nice. I will try it in a virtualbox because I'm a Gnome user 🙂.
Looks very nice. KDE Plasma is probably the most deeply customizable interface out there, but too buggy for my liking.
what mistakes? I'm thinking of switching to KDE
Not at all buggy.
@@chemaespi33 weird, i have kde based mac theme on my laptop and it works(tm)

I have learned that one should be moderate in his KDE customisations.
