  • I had permission to ride & film this elevator. By their request, the location will not be disclosed.
This elevator is in passenger service! There is another elevator next to this one, but that one has been modernized. You can actually choose if you want to ride the manual elevator, or the automatic elevator!
I don't think this elevator has any self-leveling feature. This would indicate the controller is most likely original.
The annunciator is original, but it appears it may have been retrofitted, and may no longer be electromechanical. I'm not quite sure how it currently works (or would have originally) as it has four columns and four reset buttons.
There is an original telephone in the car! I'm not sure if this was specifically an emergency phone, or if it was used to coordinate the operation of the 2 elevators.
There is a foot pedal in the car. There is a latch that holds the hoistway doors open, and stepping on the petal releases the latch, allowing the hoistway doors to be closed.
This elevator has dial hall indicators, which work from what I was told, but I did not have the chance to see them in action.
Fixtures: A.B. See car switch, Elevator Supplies Locdrop annunciator, replaced hall stations
    Year installed: Circa 1928
    Date of recording: July 2023

Beautiful! Is this a residential building or an office building?
