Hi Sir, I live about 45mins from the KaKu shop. I've been thinking of getting a Zulu to do some Bass fishing. I bought a new trailer for the Zulu, just trying to decide if I want a pedal or I do have a 36" shaft 40lb minnkota trolling motor I picked up on clearance for $75. So I think thats the way I'm gonna go mount it in the middle and hand control it. I'll get a lithium battery 100ah. Any advice you can offer. I do like the power pole. I'm a Bass fisherman so pretty much freshwater. Thank you.
@@ThomasMideaker The trailer you bought will help you load and unload it a lot easier. I installed weatherstripping on the inside rim of the front hatch. The company called Tacklewebs on my page links makes a great storage netting behind the seat. The Zulu kayak is stable, and back heavy. Time on the water using the trolling motor remote is the best teacher. Good luck on your adventures.
Big O, Like to ask you how difficult is it to load your yak in your pickup and to unload at the fishing point? I have a PDL 106 Old Town and if I don’t have my dolly positioned correctly underneath the yak tail end hits pavement and I have to lower and start over. Your kayak looks heavier than mine, any tips would be helpful. Thanks
@@Set4Trout a sturdy bed extender helps me to load and unload my kayak. It is heavy so while unloading I park as close as I can to the waters edge. Loading I do drag it closer to the extender pick up the front lay it on the bed extender. Then go to the back pick it and slide the kayak into the bed.
Awesome rig!! I love it!! 💯💯💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆🏆
Thanks 👍
