Impressive job as usual 👏 How you deciding where to use by polar capacitors over polarised? I want to recap my Teac v5000 😀

Thanks in 1st place for your videos sharing your great work. As you, surprised by the W&F value (wrms) … using same NAK app I get around 0.03/0.04 on my TEAC V7000 and on recently bought Technics rs-bx626 without any service (yet) I get 0.04 to 0.055.
Could it be the combination of test cassette you’re using with this particular deck?

No, this deck still has issues and I will find and fix them. My tapes are verified by dozens of decks.

lol, such a expencive deck and so big wow & fluter, i recently did restoration on basic double deck Teac w-970R with basic 1 motor mechanism and has lover wow & fluter (0.09) then this 10x more expencive Revox. a bit surprising. what im getting on my other decks, technics rsb965 - 0.04-0.05, Pioneer CT-610 and 620 - 0.04, Sony Tc-k611s - 0.06 Denon drm-800 - 0.04, Teac v-6030 - 0.05, vintage Pioneer CT-F850 (1979) - 0.04 all after my restoration. this revox must have very worn mechanism (capstan shafts).

Nothing surprising, this deck has been sitting without use for a couple of decades. I just need to see what else may cause the elevated W&F. Planned the next step to replace driver transistors in the direct drive motors.

@@hifirulezzz Even when brand new, best W&F is 0.1% on these. Just over 3 times worse than a Dragon. (on Paper). BUT, we don't listen by measuring equipment, we listen by ear. This is a fine deck. B215 even better.
