Splendid! This is the word that describes Sherlick Holmes' adventures whether over television or radio, it is stimulating to listen and view or just listen to the various adventures and deduce, make hypotheses, and solve crimes along with the master detective!

These stories are incredibly well-told. The detail and the performances are superb.

thanks for posting, choosing the best Holmes - Watson combination is difficult but it is surely a delight to hear these two outstanding actors give their interpretation of these roles.

Compares favorably with the perfectly awful 1939 broadcast of the same story with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.

shares some of the author's disgusting racial prejudice.

I know what you are referring to, everybody did that back then. I think authors were just saying what they were taking in from the public. I was listening to some recent interviews with British people in England and they sounded very similar to those who seem afraid of foreigners. American people seem a lot like that right now. It’s pretty annoying to hear.

@@ruthcole909Have you ever lived and worked in North Africa? I have, it's quite common there, as it is in many points East of Suez. A career in civil engineering is also a lesson in life 😅 The Human condition is tribal and an urge for tribal alliances.
