Thank you, very helpful video, my mainly liver and white springer is almost 6yrs, weve never had him clippered and he has the loveliest shiny coat still, but we have had small scissor cuts on stray bits which grow back a lighter brown almost orange, my groomer recommended a banded comb, i have found some for sale, they are £35, seems a bit expensive to me as I have combs, so I will now get some bands and make my own.😊
You’re very welcome!! I’m sure it’ll help and should save plenty of money 😁
Hi there. Our rescue cavalier king Charles spaniel has crazy frizzy fur from being clipped. Is there a way to get it back to better condition? Thanks.
It depends from dog to dog, the coat is unlikely to ever grow back like it did before being clipped but it may still be able to be stripped. If it can be then I’d suggest that, if not then regular trims with clippers will keep on top of it as it’ll probably keep growing back very thick and fluffy 🐾
Have you got a video of you using this comb as an example ?
Here is a video where I have used it on a spaniel th-cam.com/video/TWcutPTbLlw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OF5eSCktj7021mnp
Excellent tutorial. Where can i get the bands within the UK also. what brand of comb are you using.
Thank you 😊
The comb is just a cheap one from Amazon titled “Rosewood Soft Protection Medium Comb for Dogs” and again rubber bands can be got on Amazon or from your local stationery store 🙂
