- The Western Cape is usually associated with Cape Town’s beaches and wine routes however I was here to find some rustic camping and spend some time with fellow overlanders and content creators.

Very lekker trip Chris. Thanks for taking me on your journey. The edit worked, and cuts were seamless. Nice work on opening clip BTW - fitted right in. Chris, I absolutely love your vids and campsite reviews. Thanks for posting them. I have been following you firstly, then Ed and Ryan. Love all your stuff and think you make a great team that compliment each other.
Being a photographer though, (SA grown), a drive of 4 hours for you turns into an 8 hour drive for me. What happens if you happen to miss camp arrival and spend the time beside the (off)road? Many times on a drive I think, what would it be like to be on the top of just that hill over there? I could spend hours just waiting for the right light.
To the point - how do you get in contact with the person who owns the land where you may want to spend time, or just forget time on a hilltop? This vid made me think of that.

I know which campsite you skipped and it's a great place to be fair. One of the only non commercial campsites in the WC that's easily accessible by 2x4 normal cars.
Hi Paul, hence why I didn't mention the name in the video. I prefer bush camps and to be honest, I just didn't feel safe here.
Do you document the trip plans and on maps. So we could recreate the journey. Looks awesome man.

@@GetOutGO had custom brackets laser cut to retrofit a Pajero rack on my roof - just want to see if I can fit jerry cans plus a RTT.
Get some bf Goodrich tyres you won't have tyre problems
One of the fellows with me had KM3's and it took 3 plugs to fix a puncture, this is the Tankwa 😏
I love your videos. Gotta ask here in the states when we hear or think of S.A. especially Jo'berg CRIME is what comes to mind VERY VERY VIOLENT CRIME. Why not pack up and head to Namibia or Botswana?
Thank you! If Botswana would take me I’d be there in a heartbeat. Getting a work permit / residency is very difficult for SA’ns though (especially considering I’m a “TH-camr”)…
