I landed on your channel kind of by accident after being offered an early '76 Twin Reverb. Great licks, beautiful tone!!
I always thought I liked the blackface circuits more, but this sounds gorgeous indeed. I own a few low wattage amps (that I love) but there is a hole in my room where something with a huge headroom and crispy cleans ought to live breathe. Twins are totally overkill, but that feeling of boiling intestines after cranking one in a local music shop when I was 14 still lingers on (I was thrown out). Will an attenuator help keep the neighbours away? (I occupy the two top floors of a semi-detached house)... and.. can I still get decent tones out of it if I dial down the volume? What are your thoughts? Oh and what is a fair price for a '76 Twin Reverb you think?... love from wintery Norway

Twin amps are indeed overkill in most situations but so pleasant to play ! The best clean sounds you can get haha !
An attenuator will definitely help you to enjoy the amp while still playing at a sort of acceptable volume, in consideration for the neighbors.
I definitely enjoy way much the tone with my amp running through an attenuator than the tone you'll have without it and volume set around 0.5/1. Which is already pretty loud, since we're talking about a Twin Reverb.
You I'd say, you definitely should buy an attenuator, you'll enjoy the amp a lot more 😉😉
For the price, since both of us are in the same zone of the globe (you "slightly" more in the north haha) old Fender amps are usually a lot more expansive than what you can find in the US.
I don't know for Norway, but here in France, a good condition 1972-1978 Silverface Twin usually goes around 1000 to 1500€.
A Super Reverb or other kind of Fenders of the same era will be at higher prices.

Both speakers are EVM12L 😉
How loud was it? Its right by your ears. Did you pull two of the power tubes?
It was pretty loud, and I didn't pull two 6L6s, amp is still 100w.
