Buying New 2021 RZR XP Turbo and CRASHING!

- In this week's episode we head down to our local Polaris dealer, Kermit K Kistler to pickup our 2021 Polaris RZR XP 1000 Turbo! As soon as we unload it off the trailer, we dumped it on one of the local dirt roads.

always turn off your utv after you flip it and learn your machine before going crazy just helpfull hints
It was a bonehead mistake to let it runnin, but shutting it off was one of the last things running through our mind
That was a series of grade A dumb moves all the way to the very end of the video. Wow!
Never stick your arms out the vehicle if you know its going to flip, glad nothing happened to his arm 🙏🏼

My sister was riding shotgun with a guy about a month ago the turned over just like that her hand went out and the roll bar landed on it and crushed it. It was bad. Thankfully she is healing up but being way out on the trail definitely was a bad deal.

This is why instead of regular seat belts I upgraded to actual racing harnesses and it’s a fairly reasonable priced upgrade
Polaris warranty doesn't cover stupid. You my friend may be in that category.
When he got it on the trailer and said time to break her in I didn’t think he actually meant break it in
Now you don't have to worry about it getting scratched anymore. A buddy of mine in the Marines had a new bike and didn't want to scratch it so the sergeants asked to get on it. So when he got off he just dropped the bike and said now you don't have to worry about getting scratches on it.
There's my stability question answered. Kudos on publishing your embarrassing moment and taking all the "Shut it down" comments like a champ. Had a similar outcome from spontaneous act of enthusiasm and over confidence on a brand new machine that made me feel invincible once.

Lesson #1 if you going to spin around keep wheels spinning as soon as you let off it bites and you go OVER
I put side bars with nurf tunes I have no problem flipping mine I do it on purpose sometimes after a few beers
Make sure you always wear your seat belt while in a sxs. Heard of to many people losing their life because they don’t buckle up

Lessons learned bro! It's easy for all these "professional" riders to chime in their 2cents worth. Different story when you're the one laying on your side in your brand new RZR. Lots goes through your mind. I've got a 22 XP Pro on order right now that should be here in February. No doubt it will prob see it's side eventually. Just hopefully not 10mins after I get it off the trailer...Lol! Glad everybody is Ok and no serious damage to the buggy.
I did the same exact thing with my 2021 rzr turbo xp 4 seater about 2 months after I got it. I babied the thing for the first few hours just like the manual said and as soon as i opened her up i hit a slick spot and the thing tipped. But what polaris doesn’t tell you is that it comes to you stock stiff as a dick on prom night. The tires are high in PSI and don’t give much and the springs are strung up to the ceiling. so it’s basically a top heavy tipping machine off the production floors. all ya gotta do is take some air out of the tires and release the springs quite a bit and you can drive like you want
Good luck with that door under warranty 😂 lol. And the belt and axles are not covered either you'll need those too.

Bad place to 180 in a 64” machine. But hell there is always a learning curve

I totaled mine the first week of owning it But can am covered all the damage for free because the A arm snapped off going 30 mph

Whether it's cars, trucks, boats, UTVs or anything else we ride in or on, just remember we can pretty much fix them, and if not, they are building another one everday anyway. Sometimes it's pretty hard to fix people and their parts, glad nobody was hurt. You may have saved someone pain by having the humility to share your mistake. Everyone makes them. The only one who doesn't was hung on the cross a couple thousand years ago.

Me having hit a tree a 60 in a brand new turbo s and totaling it, getting it fixed and then rolling a 1000 right afterward, "he's being a baby.." we also go trail riding all the time... it ours looks like that anyway

I bought the exact same rzr as you March this year *2021*. Just out of curiosity though have you had any belt slipping, clutching issues with yours?

guess you really dont care about breaking your engine in proper just burning it up and running it with no oil, you will be lucky to get thousand miles out of that engine,
I’m not being sarcastic; how do you break in the engine? I just bought a RZR 1000 and the dealership didn’t say how I’m supposed to break in the engine, other than go low speeds in low gear and high speeds at high gear.
@@felixvidales8786 you very the speed constantly and never just full throttle it for the first 500 miles. It takes 250 miles just the break the belt in. Change the oil then start pushing it.
Ran out of talent! It actually hurts to watch all the mistakes made in the filming of this video. ALL limbs remain inside the vehicle. Turn vehicle off immediately. Put in PARK. 😳

Always keep your hands and arms in the vehicle at all times lol, forrreal tho u gotta just hold on to the steering wheel or the grab bar cause you can lose limbs real fast, all good tho man I’ve been there I’ve rolled my machine lol, one thing I’ve learned in em you feel like your invincible until something really bad happens, build up and learn the machine and you’ll be fine man, nice machine never the less the roll lol 👌

Spend 25K on a Turbo, and crash it in the first 10 minutes. You can't fix stupid. Did you do any home work on the break in period? You know the engine and belt both need TLC when new.
I used to get pissed when these mouth breathers would destroy a RZR during the first 10 min of ownership (extremely common) but one day I decided that the less dumb people that have these machines, the less regulations will be put into place for us smart people that want to enjoy them. Now I don't say a word when I see them drag racing as soon as they get home from the dealership.

I know what the problem was. A loose nut behind the wheel. Glad you are ok. Watch a few thousand TH-cam videos and learn from others mistakes. Leave the battle scars on it.

@@FullThrottleMotorworx hey mechanic butt hurt if your sump pump on the wrong side its will not burn oil only running dry by miss alimentation but yes stupid one day stupid all day like they said. dont put your stupid video on youtube if you dont want people calling you out to being stupid..... worst part of leting the engine turning its one of your cylinder become with back presure from all the oil in the bottom of the cylinder

how people buy these things and do stupid things is like not knowing how deep a pool is and diving in. get used to the machine in how it acts before you start trying to do donuts and letting off the gas once she is sideways. . also put a helmet on and keep your hands in

Flipping was nothing, letting that engine run on its side is horrible
While it ultimately was their fault and stupid to do a donut on a high friction surface, welcome to RZR and Maverick ownership. These units are notorious for unloading the suspension and lifting the rear wheel causing rollovers. See Robby Gordon’s video on his new machine describing the design flaw on most if not all current SXS rear suspensions. The even dumber part was letting it run while on its side.
lol trust me you can roll at wild cat xx as well. Ricky bobby over at speed doesnt know everything if he did he wouldnt get sued and sue everyone who works with him. its as almost if the wild cat xx didnt come out as his design and is the best machine ever lol.
