John Winchester the song is a typical Filipino love song ("kundiman") . The essence of most of the kundiman songs is about undying love, which to some westerners may sound too sentimental. This song in particular is about someone whose memory of a loved is always haunting his/her mind, even though how much he/she tries to forget. The song ends with these hauntingly beautiful words, "you'll always be my love!"
