Thanks so much for highlighting this story Danny. I have heard of Wells, but I appreciate the reminder. What a great way to share the heroism of that day with your students. Responders on 9/11 are true heroes, all! Never forget!

Thank you for sharing this with us. Every year I look up videos from 9/11 so I will never forget what happened on that day. I was at Elementary School at the time watching the President Bush talking about education in Florida and since we were in Florida our teacher wanted to watch it. I like President Bush but I didn't really want to watch something about presidents and education that was boring to me, I would have much rather have been doing school work, not knowing what was about to happen after President Bush got done reading or having the kids read to him. It was so sad especially when I saw people throwing themselves out of the buildings and of course when the second plane hit that's when I just burst into tears. My child mind could not comprehend something like this happening in America. I probably heard this story before but like I said I have to re-watch every year and hear these heartbreaking and inspirational stories. I am going to watch the video you have linked on here and I thank you for sharing this with us and for what you do for your students.

beautiful words. Yeah I have also been in tears all day. I recorded an 8 minute video that I think you may like to honor the victims of that tragic day. We wil never forget.

Well done Danny. This story is such an inspiration and has touched my heart. I had heard of the "Man In The Red Bandana" but I did not know anything about him and now I do. Great job on keeping this story alive for your students and the rest of the world. God Bless.

Wow! Really great story about a wonderful hero. I love that you teach your students. I think it's wonderful that his sister and grandfather made a book. I want to check that out and I will check out the ESPN clip. Really great video! Thank you for sharing this! Very touching!

I've not heard about this story. On 9/11/2001 I was working at a toy company and processing some orders when I got notification about the start of this sad day in history. I have watched several videos on this. The image that sticks in my mind the most is the people leeping out the windows to their death. God bless 🇺🇲

Thank you for this fantastic story. I also have a video about 911 that came out today It will be a great honor if you could watch it and tell me what you think. I heard about this man when I went to NYC on my honeymoon in October of 2002
