It’s exactly that, except loops drawn up on the same hook and only five at a time instead of the whole row at once on the broom. Glad to know someone else sees it. I didn’t read your comment till after I’d posted mine. Yah bless!

Reminds me of Broomstick Lace, but no need for the broomstick! My Mom used to make BL afghans, but her work was much looser than mine, which was uptight like my personality! Lol. I’m much more relaxed in my dotage, but my stitching is still too tight! This is fabulous! Thank you for demonstrating it. Even in my least favorite color on the planet, still beautiful!

Lovely stitch. Many videos claim they've never seen or done things before, and, most I've seen or done before them. But, this stitch pattern I have NOT seen or done before. 😻🌺😻 It looks a little like a pinwheel to me. I believe it can be made into SOOO many different projects. TYSM for sharing this video with us.

This popped into my feed because I have recently decided to again take up crochet. I've been an avid knitter for years, but just never did a lot of crochet or learned many intricate stitches.
When I saw this stitch it reminded me of an afghan I inherited from my grandmother, one gifted to her by a friend. She called the pattern "Paddlewheel". I just looked again at that piece and it does look very similar. Very pretty and it does look like a paddlewheel on the water, doesn't it? I never learned the stitch and honestly I can't say how old that afghan is (since it was a gift to my grandmother), but it's at least 45 years old. My grandmother passed while I was in my late teens/early 20s and she had that afghan on display in her living room several years before that.
Thank you for your very clear video. Your lighting is perfect! Very easy to see what you are doing. You don't go so quickly as to make me feel like I must continuously pause the screen.

This is lovely to watch, so well demonstrated and great video production values. I hope you don’t mind also a personal comment, but I like how your nails are done - beautifully finished yet not jazzy, not distracting. Sometimes I almost get hypnotized by people’s elaborate nail designs when watching handicraft videos. It’s like someone reading the news in a prom dress!

Save empty clear plastic soda or water bottles. Remove labels. Cut a 3 sided door panel in the side, 4th side serves as hinge. Slip yarn inside. Store on shelves lying on their sides, with the bottom of bottle towards you. All you see is the size of the bottom round with the color. Can use bookends to divide, or to hold at the ends of open shelving or boxes or crates on their sides. Find friends who buy club soda or seltzer in 1 or 2 liters and have them save the empties for you.
