Great version nev love all those surf sounds beach boys jan&dean sounded perfect my friend sharp&clear bloke was in water more than on board well played enjoy your weekend you'll soon be out walking take care Peter t darlington 🚶🚶🎸🎸🎸🎸
Thanks Dave. There's no 12 string or even any double tracking just an overdose of reverb😊I used a Zoom G3 with Halls Echo patch for "Surf reverb", a little digital reverb on the amp (forgot to turn it off) and then I mixed some room reverb with the dry signal via a send/return Bus in Cakewalk. Best wishes, Neville
Top marks Neville, an excellent all round production, you've captured the Surf sound perfectly ,liked the nice rakes , and dipping the whammy bar , really enjoyed it 👍👍28. All the best Dave.👏👏🎸🎸🎶🎶👌👌
Hi Neville. An excellent version of this old Ventures tune. Perfectly played and sounds very good 👏👌🎸. Always a pleasure to listen to your uploads Neville , and a big 👍29. Have a nice week. All the best Olav
Ciao Neville 👍You set this melody very well among the waves of the sea. Nokie Edwards was a great guitarist who successfully brought The Ventures' music all over the world. When I listen to you my mind is reassured by your sound and your always excellent musical choices.I answered you about 432Hz on Disorientamento. Thanks and have a good week.🙂Pino
Many thanks Pino and also for taking the time to explain your 432Hz process in such great detail. I was intrigued when you said that guitar strings last longer with this tuning😊Wishing you a pleasant new week, Neville
Hallo Neville, this is a great interpretation/sound of a lovely song my dear friend ... very enjoyable listening and watching ! 👍👍 BIG like 18 I wish you a happy new week ... Fons.
Very Lively and a well-played my friend. First thing I've heard this morning and now I'm walking around the house humming it in my head making my first cup of tea
Hi Neville, excellent version of this classic tune, a pleasure to hear you play it, sounds surf guitar all the way - big thumbs up!👍👍 All the best! John
Many thanks John, I was trying hard to remember to play close to the bridge for a more surf feel, but watching the video back my concentration must have wandered as I keep reverting to my normal place😊 Take care, Neville
Morning Neville, I’ve just been time warped back to the time of the Surf sound, what a tremendous cover……….. you captured the mood and sound perfectly. A wonderful production squire, first class……. ( I bet that chap was fed up falling off that surf board. ) fully enjoyed and it’s a big 10 from me. Best wishes from the Guitar Sanctuary.............. ❤ Ian 🎸
Cheers Ian, as you say a typical surf tune from he 60's, the bridge section is deceptive and quite tricky , having to fit 5 triplets in two bars, took me a while to figure what was going on😊Take care, Neville
Hi, Neville ...Hope you enjoyed the weekend.....Always gives me a good feeling when I listen to such instrumentals....Lovely sound you created ...enjoyed every bit of it...Stay well ...The gloomy and wet weather has taken over California no chance of sunny days in near future ...Regards Khalique...{:-)
Thanks, Navelle.... The night before the strong winds uprooted many trees ...It's been two days, and there was no internet...Thank God the net is back again...
Hi Neville,a super cover my friend,a great production and a fantastic sound.. well played sir! I’ve fully enjoyed listening from start to finish. Regards Alan🎸🎸
I was really moved by your performance of my favorite Nokie's Tune (original: SPUDNIK). Thank you very much. This title has an interesting history.🏄♂~~EBsShu
Hi and a massive thanks MrEBsShu, and thanks for sharing your knowledge of the Ventures, much appreciated. The song appears to be be a well known tune around the world and I guess a whole new generation heard it when the movie Pulp Fiction featured it. Take care, Neville
@@NevilleWorthington both I and my son 14 enjoy your playing the fabulous music of the 60’s . My son plays guitar a bit. Can you give him a few quick pointers on how to get “that sound”? Strings? Amp? Guitar??…. Much appreciated in advance. 👍✌️
