man i cant get over this entire song. i bit my tongue when everyone used to say "ohhhh wotr arent real black metal", they were wrong. this is the pinnacle of black metal.
With this album--and specifically this song--WITTR forever transformed how I saw music. Buzzing, droning, humming gravity. Drifting, unseeing, trackless infinity. Knowing, feeling, touching immortality. There is an endlessness that embodies this album that I carry with me every day.
I was blown away then & I'm still blown away now! Such intensity! That Pick Scrape near 6:18 and the riffs afterwards! Epic Metal Magic! Crank it up people! 🤘🤘🤘
The last 4 minutes of this has the reach of the minutiae of organic biology to the unimaginable astral infinity. Snarl lest take a bow before these Wolves...
The intro is nearly identical to Mihaly Vig's Turin Horse theme. Never really thought I'd find a bridge between Tarr and WitTR one day, but glad I did.
The title "celestial lineage" caught my attention most when I first heard about this band. Not to mention as well, my birth mother's name is Celeste. Yes, I was meant to love this band....🤘
@@hutche My point is that _The Turin Horse_ was released three‐and‐a‐half years later than this, so why would they be related? Is the film (which I’m not very familiar with) based on something older that I don’t know of? If you’re asking whether the _film_ references / draws inspiration from this or not, then I wouldn’t know.
@@Judge_Holden I see your point now, although the script of Turin Horse was an original one yet a lot of material was taken from the book "Crime & Punishment" that just could be the case. But yea it might be coincedential.
Post-metal, Post-black metal, and Experimental Black Metal are the next stage of evolution in music.
I am crying.
Crying with m teeth shown.
This might be the most beautiful BM track I e ever listened to
5:30 I will never get over this riff in my life

Bad ass.
couldn't have said it better . this song is the one that got me hooked. just brilliant. the louder the better .
This album is soooo good!! My favorite one
For real dude. The imagery this song conjures up is immense.
“The relentless hoofbeat echos”
🤘
@@timg7627 hell yes, bro. It's fucking infinite, right? WITTR always brings that epic energy.
The drums sound so amazing on this record. This song in particular is one of my fav of all time.
This song makes me want to seek vengeance on my enemies.
The sound Is pretty incredible when all the instruments merge with such intesity near the end. Like some kind of massive natural force

No words for this HYMN ...
in 2011 this ep was on my repeat all fucking day. still amazing piece of work.
This album and some songs of radiohead and solstafir are the only ones in my life that i get never tired to listen.
Everyone should be ashamed that they can't equal this....
sounds a lot like Burzum - Det Som Engang Var at the beginning. Amazing album.
makes sense since so many bm bands are influenced by burzum
This is amazing music.
Ohhhh shit, this is awesome!!!

If you're talking 'astral infinity' , try Midnight Odyssey. Cosmic ambient with a heavy flavour of black metal. Cheers.
The last 4 minutes of the song are the essence of what Black Metal was supposed to be: wild, chaotic and untamed.
Wild, chaotic and untamed 🙏👏🤘 (untameable…) 🙏👏🤘
Masterpiece!

thats a great catch, that movie rocks.
This is older than the movie though
Very good burzumish leads

Surprised at the lack of comments

This guy gets it. Best moment in any black metal song ever for me.

🤘🤘
Back when they were real black metal
Is this anyway related to "The Turin Horse?"
The opening plus the lyrics are giving such vibes.
This came out in 2007.
@@Judge_Holden Yes of course, I'm asking if there is any article about this being related to The Turin Horse
