just swapped a 73 pin screen connector on a Samsung a32 5g... so many pins to check and secure with no clearance on one side. worked out though. happy customer. he's a veteran who is paralyzed so I got him anew screen and new connector for cheap. nice to be able to help. your videos and others like you gave me the initial knowledge to practice and build upon to start my own shop and I'm grateful. Thank you!
Hi, thank you for the video. It is super great :) I have a question. What for are the spacers between the layers? I dont understand it and what if I lost them? Thank you!
Thank you! I believe it's done at the factory to add perfect spacing when they do the sandwich soldering. but you dont' need them. especially if you are doing a full reball process
Thanks for the video Mr. Cruz. I have not seen the pressing method before, I'll give that a try on one of my donors. You don't get FPCs because even nubs like me can do those :P
I’m new on the soldering job. I was trying soldering lcd FPC connector on iPhone 12 Pro Max motherboard. I removed the old broken FPC, cleaned the area and was trying to reball the pads eventually I ruined three pads as the soldering wire created large balls which wouldn’t remove from the board so I scratched them with the iron and pads were removed. Why when I go over the pads with the iron the actual solder wire not sticking on the pads and creating iron balls all over? Is this board done?
@@VCCBoardRepairs Would you do an episode about replacing NFC/Wireless Chrg Coil please? Few days a go i did that kind of repair in iP8+, but i had to improv. I couldnt find any tutorial how to position the coil properly :)
@@VCCBoardRepairs of course man, I love how you explain what you’re doing while you do it. I watch a lot of north ridge which taught me a LOT but I love how detailed and patient you are with the video.
Tried this myself, but i couldn't get new the FPC off the board without ruining it. One side if the FPC got hotter than the other, and then half of the tin pads melted while the other side remained stuck, and then on the side where the tin had melted, the plastic of the FPC melted 🫤

That's beautiful! Love it! 🙌
I really like that tinning technique on the FPC. I've never tinned them before, but also never had to replace on the sandwiched boards. Cool to watch!
I appreciate that!

You should post this in my Facebook group for support: www.vccboardrepairs.com/fb-group
is that heat resisent , that slide is to cut wires
I just wanna know if that’s a real tree in the background 😅.
hahahaha it is not.
No need to split the board for a connector but good job 👍
Thank you!
I always split. I find it less risky and no warping
Hey, could I ask how much do you charge for this repair in your store?
