I totally disagree. I am an American and I love the 2019 Nissan Leaf SL Plus, that I have. I have done many trips from NY to OH (~420 mi), Looking better is an opinion. I have purchased 2023 Nissan Leaf SV Plus. Why? 31K on my 2019, great trade-in value on my 2019, and the new NYS rebate and Federal Tax credit, plus a new bumper to bumper 36K/5 year warranty. I have test driven the Bolt, and it is not as comfortable as the Leaf, and the Leaf has more interior space, and IMHO better technology and a better value. The little extra range is not worth it to me, to get any other vehicle. Pros and Cons for me made the Leaf the better choice.
I would argue the Bolt looks better than the Leaf. Yes the Leaf is needing a redesign but it still looks good. The nice thing about a Leaf is that you are not forced into getting a lv 2 charger in your home and can use the regular house hold outlet. Sure it will take longer to charge this way but if you charge it daily like you do your phone it won’t get down to zero charge and take forever to charge. I rented a leaf plus while on vacation for 10 days and absolutely loved it. But this is just my two cents
I tried to purchase a 2022 but no Dealer had one-- sold out! I called Arizone, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi Dealers. Not bad indicator for a car you claim nobody wants?? Finally a Mississippi Dealer sold me his first 2023. These cars nobody wants have excellent dependability. They just run and run with no issues. I have 856 miles on my new Leaf and I love it! Technology is about the same as Teams' essentials. Mileage is same so far: first fill 268 and last fill 236 estimated miles. My Leaf out the door was $11,000 less than Model 3.
