4:48 when comparing the damage of skills you have to take into account the cooldown of those abilities, Blaze does a lot of damage over time because of the low CD. In the case of casting reflux my reasoning behind gems is: 1st the casting skills (affected by All-Out Attack) since most of your damage comes from those. After that I prioritize the skills that have Final Strike tripods (Esoteric and Frost Call), that leaves Rime Arrow and Blaze which is where preference comes into play.
He's also comparing numbers of level 7 Blaze with level 12 Frost's Call. Another thing to mention - I find Blaze a lot more consistent in damage since Frost's Call requires all it's hits to land for it to deal it's full damage, which can't always be guaranteed with some bosses.
I just got my relic set on my casting reflux sorc last week and I actually used your previous guide as my reference. I opted to go 4pc Nightmare and 2pc Dominion and was doing the awakening accessories and stuff before fights but I don't really like all that finicky stuff so I'm glad to hear that full nightmare is the end game preference. Shockwave on esoteric reaction does more damage but the problem is that with that tripod your damage is backloaded so if a boss moves you lose a big chunk of your damage. Stabilized crystal's damage is more spread out it's overall better because the damage is more consistent. Igniter sorcs use stabilized crystal tripod too.
This is my casting reflux build. prefer precise over adrenaline because it's always active. sucks to lose stacks on legion after a cutscene or some bs, but have doomsday and explosion off cd. you're right, not criting is killer to dps. I do have cd on blaze just because it's 6% damage buff for party and it's good to have it up all the time if possible. ggs!
I had adrenaline before and I did not like it. As a casting sorc, sometimes when I do mechs or dodge, I’m out of boundless MP and CD becomes slower then I lose adrenaline stacks. I switched to precise dagger and cannot be happier. Adrenaline is better for the instant cast build.
I have 2 sorcs with 4 builds between them (Casting, Insta, Piano and Igniter) and I enjoy all of them for different reasons. For casting reflux, Final Strike tripods + Precise Dagger is the optimal setup because you need at least 80% crit for the build to be effective, the difference between a white and a yellow Doomsday is too big. It's one of the only builds in the game where PD is better than Adren. If you'd rather run Adrenaline or Keen Blunt is better to go Instacast.
The only questions I have so far is what would be the best bracelet for this build? There is like infinite choices. The one I have seen that peaked my interest is a 3% chance on crt hit to do +100% bigger crt dmg. Dunno what would be the best choice tho...
that is a good question I have only realy used a double stat bracers crit/swift and never tried for another line as its far too much gold for me at the moment, but def a good topic to get into will do some research and see what comes up
it is what I main, really fun, and gets even better with cd gems, its not as much dps as say igniter and top tier specs, buts its def more than enough to clear all content

no, if you want to main reflux, play instant crit. casting is kinda shit
Casting Reflux does the lowest dmg of all Sorceress builds, even instant Crit is better
just play ignite
