Very well detailed route. My only gripe (and this is because I was part of the team that was on the BRE project back in 2021) is the switches and crossing outside Barking Riverside. It's made of prefabed slab panels and was the first of it's kind to be used in the UK. DTG decided to use ballasted track in place of it 😢

I was a test driver on 710s amongst others, the level of detail is absolutely bang on the money

If I could alter anything it would be to use the spanner on the DMI so you can adjust brightness on the screens, I noticed the DOO screens don't work.@TrainSim_TV
Yeah the screen side of things is lacking. Maybe thats a licensing hold back.

And in regards to the dra, theres always gona be dra mate but you have to use it manually.
Very happy with this route. Wasn't planning on a Day One purchase, but my finger slipped on the buy button ;-) Not my usual type of route but really enjoyed my first drives. The level of detail has noticeably increased with this and Salzburg (and of course Blackpool). Good to see. Still not enough to become my main simulator. With Freeware like Network Scot East and Northern Lines Electric coming out, I'm still very attached to TSC, but this is definitely a step in the right direction for TSW.
Its always a swine when the finger happens to slip on that purchase button haha. Enjoy it like i have so far, it really is a lovely route to drive.
I agree, tsc will forever be the better game with tons of more options.

UR611. Position 2 is for the down connector to take you over to the down main towards Upminster. Position 3 is for the up connector to take you over to the up main for either bi-directional to Upminster or you can continue over the points to the down main as well. The single lens underneath the junction indicator is the red.

That cab lighting is horrendous, glad to see they still cant manage to get that right! The TMS screens should not be over saturated and washed out like that.
What else do you expect from DTG

At the end of the day. Unreal engine is pretty hard to use. TSW4 is such a big game and if a sound is wrong or the train looks weird that’s different but if it’s a lighting issue you have to change *a lot* to fix it.
Very unpopular opinion but I’ll respect it
@-TREWSTUDIOS- I've played other vehicle games in unreal and the interiors don't look washed out like in tsw.
Barking looks empty? Have the incorporated the london underground and c2c as AI?
I think routes like this need to get more love from game devs because they seemingly get brushed to the side too much.
Ignoring the Elizabeth line and 345 (and other aventras), 331, and 777 because they're all new and making things for train sims can take years.
Routes/Trains such as C2C's southend line and class 357 (I think 357 hasn't made an appearance since MSTS days), pretty much the entire LUL network (sans the Met by JT) hasn't had coverage since BVE. The East London line still hasn't made an appearance nor has any part of the Merseyrail network.
There is a lot of missed potential.

I really do like this route. Right up my street. Love sitting on the same train and copying full real diagram. Sounds aren’t fully correct and breaking feels very underpowered but apart from that it’s very good.
Yeah its one of those routes that will grab many peoples attention in terms of driving the service and seeing the various freight paths along side. Not to mention the trains you see on the other lines passing!. Sound wise im not over familiar with the class. Buit for me not a bad effort, it all sounds like it works together, maybe we might see a mod for a sound patch on TSC!
@@TrainSim_TV yeah hopefully. The motors aren’t that bad it’s jsut that they shouldn’t be audible in the cab and only the initial hissy sounding motor should be barely audible. I do agree tho. Very good route to sit down and have a play at. It’s a shame they didn’t include the individual carriages on formation designer but ig it’s in beta so we will wait and see ( I wanted to create a 5 carriage 720 and a 9 carriage 345 :( )

bought it but the route just keeps crashing back to Windows, class 710/2 loads just fine in other routes. Anyone else has this issue by any chance?
GPU drivers have been updated to the latest, old mods which are possibly outdated have been removed but still no success.
Not sure if at that point it may be worth running a verify of cache via steam to see if that fixes it. Otherwise maybe a reinstall. But ensure you back up your save files of course prior to doing so!
If only on timetable mode on foot starts with the player out in the street, approaching the station, rather than starting on the wrong platform at Gospel Oak. They've modelled the street and entrance, why not implement it.
The Class 170 is extremely questionable also they mentioned the timetable isn’t even fully complete. They are throwing out a unfinished product 🤦♂️.
And the announcements doesn't work... It's not a full route. I don't even know why it's called “The Circle line” when you can't even drive in a circle 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻😒🙄, + across all platforms you'll just get the Class 170 and the Class 385 SR that's it. Nothing else.....
And I've also heard that the Class 385 ScotsRail windows still won't react to rain, snow, hot, cold or foggy or any kind of weather and that the announcements in the Class 385 ScotsRail it'll still be manual instead of automatic.
And in real life the Class 170 runs Edinburgh to Edinburgh services but in TSW 4 it's just Edinburgh to Perth and nothing else. Like literally.
And no freight trains either...
And no Railtours either....
And on the Fifth Bridge we won't see we no ships or anything either...
If you see last nights stream you'll notice that one of them (can't remember his name) he spends more time saying no, that anything else... Literally.
And it's the Main Circle Line too. But unfortunately....
Unfortunately it's not in timetable mode. Only 1 scenario where you'll be able to drive the full circle. 1. 1!!! And that's it... Nothing else, like literally...
And the Class 170 won't even layer onto the Edinburgh to Glasgow route either and I do suspect that the LNER trains are supposed to be Lumo not LNER but whatever and I also suspect that the LNER trains are static and not going or leaving anywhere, it's just static
And guess what?. The German guy making this route has never been to Scotland either🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
Top issues i can think off the top of my head.
1. Engine motors dont sound like that when departing.
2. At South Tottenham heading towards gospel oak, the enfield town/chesunt branch line comes way too soon
3. At barking, they still put signs saying the overground departs from the old platforms on the other side of the station from when the service terminated at barking before the riverside existed
4. Why FINALLY add the automatic closure of doors which took far too long in my opinion, only for the feature to lock the doors? Why not FINALLY incorporate the ‘release doors’ feature allowing customers to open the doors?
Door release buttons have been on trains in this game like the 377/387 etc but we cant use them, so the doors just have to stay wide open when in real life no train is like that anymore
5. Why even give us this route when the speed limit is so frustrating? i swear its like dtg give and take just like the dynamics of real life🙄
6. why no announcements, but yet silly announcements on the existing and incoming scottish route?

In real life they close after 40 seconds or so but they don’t lock but in the game they mentioned that they can’t implement it for now for some reason, but they said they will see if they can in the future. We will have to live with it for now
I presume because they auto shut its making the task think its complete without the player closing them.

I got bad news regarding the Fife Circle Line. Last night i watched the preview of the Fife Circle Line here on TH-cam on the official Train Sim World TH-cam page and it's a massive let down. Like literally.

They messed up the sound plus the wheels at the rear and the front are from the class 700 lol
No, it sounds like the real thing. And both the 700 and 710 use the same type of bogies and the wheels are slightly different what’s the problem?
@MorganTheTimeLord that's what I thought at first till I actually heard the sound. The 710 doesn't have a sound like a class 321 at the start and the bogies you can see one miss match the others

major issues with the NPC's on this route once again coming off train at 1 station and standing in front of the doors and now worse of all get on the train and come off spining around major issues that all i got to pick with this one
