@@markhenein5617 Dude Pats have a strong fanbase, and 6 Super Bowls now! All teams go through rough periods even the best franchises! We got good ownership with the Kraft family and if something happens to Robert in the future I believe Jonathan Kraft will take over as the new primary owner!
3:16, "We don't like paying top dollar...so that we can justify a short term economic return..." Suffice it to say that $175 million is now worth over $3.7 billion. I think Kraft justified his investment 20 times over in 25 years.
Thanks Mr.Kraft. I ❤️ remember that day clearly, it was on TV that you had bought THE PATRIOTS I began to cry I was just so happy!!! I've been a fan since late 60's. Getting ready for MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL against THE BEARS 🐻!!! WONDERING (Like everybody else) will it be Mac or Zappy? Thanks again, Mr.Kraft!!! A PATRIOTS FAN
I'll never forget that line from one of his later interviews about his late wife's reaction when he bought the team: "It was the only time in our marriage when she went bonkers at me".
He did more than that he created perhaps the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Six super bowls in less than 20 years. That's not something you can write home everyday he should be very proud of what he did especially getting Tom Brady and Bill belichick on the team
"THANK-YOU MR. ROBERT KRAFT & ALL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS FANS FOR SECURING AN EXTREMELY VALUABLE ASSET TO ALL NEW ENGLAND FOOTBALL FANS & TRUE PATRIOTS!"
30 years later they obviously won six super bowls. And there was a little bit of long term value to be worth what he paid. He bought the team for a record price of $172M at that time. The estimated value is now $6.7B so I gusss he got a halfway decent return on that one in the end: Nobody could have seen just how much revenues of the league would skyrocket but the rise in media revenue in todays league now pays every team $320M or so every year as their share. It’s wild how much time changes things that at this time he had paid the most for team ever and extended himself because he’s passionate about the team and keeping it there and was a bit worried about it in those times for good reason and now he basically gets handed a check every year for 2x the number he paid to own the team. Wild.
The only reason why James Orthwein owned the New England Patriots so he could move the team to St. Louis, and rename the franchise the St. Louis Stallions
And Robert Kraft's prior purchase of the now demolished Foxboro Stadium, along with the lease the Patriots had for said stadium, stood in the way of this action.
Thank God for mr. Kraft for buying the New England Patriot's.
What a successful and amazing era the Patriots have gone through!!! Congratulations to them!!! Let's go Patriots!!!
Monumental moment... This is where it all began for us. A beautiful defining moment
And now its all gone

@@tomrachellesfirstdance7843 well they dont have a good qb now and the team is just collapsing

Just imagine the early drafts of Patriot Place in the mid-90’s. Kraft is a visionary and genius.
Thankful for being a pats fan🙏 and also for having a great team owner, coach and having the GOAT as a QB for 20 years
Aman to that.
I love the Back to the Future jingle at the beginning.
