Little Simz is a triple threat. She raps, sings and acts. Plus she is a beautiful woman. Her album 'Grey Area' is fire.
For me boys, No Thank You, Grey Area , and Sometimes I might be introvert, are all worth full album reviews. For different reasons tho, No Thank You is the most hip hop, Sometimes I might be introvert is the most musical, and Grey Area is a mix of both
The record for me would have to be "sometimes I might be introvert", I feel the sound on that one needs to be on wax more than the others
I came here to say exactly this. I copped it on wax, and would have happily paid 10x more than i did for it. That album is a masterpiece.

Knew you would appreciate and love this ❤️ This is the track that put me on to Simz. ‘Dead Body - Part 2 & 3’ is also worth checking out - with features from Kano & Stormzy.
Simz is arguably the most complete rap artist in the UK - certainly one of a very few that could be huge worldwide now with more exposure. Her voice and the narratives she creates in her music seem to appeal to a wide demographic, without compromising whatsoever on artistry. She has the potential to blow up to be as big as US legends imho, and they seem to appreciate her too - Busta Rhymes was recently singing her praises, Kendrick is a fan, and Lauryn Hill had Simz support her in concert a few years back.
I recommend all Simz albums, the quality is ridiculously high - she really doesn’t miss. Her Grey Area album is my personal favourite and is the masterpiece album that solidified Simz as a bonafide artist at the top of her game, ready to be included in any conversation about Top Fives etc 😅 Grey Area is a short album but is 10 songs of PERFECTION. Genuinely now a Classic.
Her two follow ups, SIMBI, and No Thank You are just as good (but different, artistically) and you will love these too.
DO check these albums out ASAP - you have no idea what you’re missing 🔥🔥🔥

Grey Area got me into Simz, start to finish amazingness, her flows and words and production 🤯. Happy 101fm is my ringtone but I never answer coz too busy dancing 😅

Aww yay, seeing this made my day!! Another fantastic Simz track, her older work is definitely high caliber and worth checking out. Dead Body Parts 2&3 with Stormzy and Kano is 🔥🔥🔥. Bars Simzon is a short old banger of hers too.

There's no bad Little Simz Album or even track as far as my extensive repeat listening has found but Sometimes I Might Be Introvert might be the album of the decade so far.
Simz should be in the GOAT convo, at least for current MCs and is dropping albums and projects that confidently go toe to toe with the Kendricks and Daves of this world.
Side point.... Ghetts is another underrated UK MC that is also putting out Top Tier work consistently. Conflict of Interest is up there with anything else in recent years and his latest Album On Purpose With Purpose is maintaining the level. I would add that Conflict of Interest showed maybe the biggest growth of an artist that I have ever seen. He was always dope af but his calmer more nuanced and insightful flows are GOAT convo worthy

Grey Area for sure if you do a Little Simz album reaction, it’s bangers front to back and her most concise album. The other albums are equally amazing but Grey Area is a good start point. Plus you’ve only done 1 of the 10 songs on it, so much to discover 😊

The narrator in SIMBI interludes make me cringe so bad i end up not playing it cover to cover that often.
Same. Grey Area 10/10 - SIMBI 9.5/10 - marked down only because of the cringe Emma Corrin narration. I don’t know why Simz didn’t do it herself… she has one of the best and most attention-grabbing voices in the game IMHO.
