This can not be a coincidence. If it was just a random lightning strike, the whole statue would have been destroyed. The halo and the keys were destroyed. This was a very strategic strike. God is sending a very strong message.

It's mind blowing how precise the lightning was. It obliterated the whole hand, but not the torso near it. Usually if there is a target, expect some damage near it, but in this statue you don't see any sign of it. God is clearly sending a clear message here and we have to hear it.
I disagree, I'm no physicist, but I am a professional youtube watcher and I've seen enough videos of weird counterintuitive things to know that there's often a good explanation for things like this. Like due to the shape of the statue the lightening travelled through those points and caused them to explode. That said, I do almost 95% think this is a sign. Just not for the reasons you've stated.

CV NEWS FEED // Before the end of 2023, the Internet was abuzz with rumors, later confirmed, that lightning struck a statue of St. Peter on Pope Francis’ birthday, December 17.
The news was first reported in Italian on December 26 by Andrea Cionci, an Italian Catholic blogger who questions the legitimacy of Francis as a successor of St. Peter. The rumor made its way into the Spanish Catholic blogosphere and was quickly translated into English by the “Pope Head” Substack:
On Sunday December 17, 2023, lightning literally pulverized the key and halo of the statue of Saint Peter, located on the facade of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas, north of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The story was “reported by the Telegram channel ‘The Pope’s Pearls,’” Cionci wrote. The report “seemed to be fake, given that no news could be found on the web,” he added, “but the event has just been confirmed by the Reverend Father Justo Lofeudo, a priest who is certainly a Bergoglian.”
“Father Lofeudo certainly did not realize the effect that the disclosure of the photo would have,” Cionci continued:
What is striking, in fact, is that the event occurred on Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s birthday, the day before the publication of the Fiducia supplicans declaration which opens up blessings for gay couples.
Catholic author Taylor Marshall highlighted the story on his TH-cam Channel, commenting that the lightning not only happened during Francis’ birthday and one day before the publication of the controversial document Fiducia Supplicans, “but is also in his home diocese: Bergoglio was Archbishop and Cardinal of Buenos Aires.”
On December 30, Catholic commentator Steven O’Reilly revealed on his X (formerly Twitter) account that after contacting the Shrine in San Nicolás with a confirmation request in Spanish “the unsigned reply (from the Shrine) did not confirm or deny the facts, which is all that I requested.”
“Instead the reply said only (translated): ‘The interpretation of the facts that circulate through these media is not real, which is why the Sanctuary does not endorse or agree with them,’” O’Reilly reported.
On December 31, also on X, the Lepanto Institute reported:
Some people are questioning the veracity of the claims that a statue of St. Peter in Argentina was struck by lightning on Dec. 17, pulverizing the halo, key, and blessing hand.
The Lepanto Institute sent someone to the location to take pictures and confirm the events. The Dec. 17 lightning strike is CONFIRMED and here are additional pictures of the statue.
NOTE: The lightning struck the statue, despite there being lightning rods some 30-40 feet above it (second and third picture).

CV was also able to send a local journalist to the Shrine of San Nicolás and can clarify some facts:
The lightning indeed struck the image of St. Peter at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of St. Nicolás, obliterating both the iron halo and keys in the statue’s right hand. The image of St. Peter is not located in the main entrance, but on the left side of the shrine, flanking a side entrance, with St. Paul on the other side of the same door. The image of St. Paul, whose sword is also iron, was not affected.
The lightning indeed struck on December 17, Pope Francis’ 87th birthday.
The City of San Nicolás is prone to lightning. In fact, it was after a lightning strike at the site of the Marian shrine that the faithful began building it in 1987 under the instructions of the Marian visionary Gladys Quiroga de Motta.
As the Lepanto Institute stated, the shrine has plenty of lightning rods, thus the strike on St. Peter’s statue was highly improbable.
Fr. Justo Antonio Lofeudo, incorrectly described by Andrea Cionci as a “Bergoglian” priest, is the founder of the Missionaries of the Holy Eucharist, a congregation dedicated to promoting perpetual adoration around the world.
Speaking to CV, Lofeudo strongly denied taking or distributing the first pictures of the damaged statue going around the Internet, some of them with the footnote “courtesy of Fr. Justo Lofeudo.” On the evening of December 31, Lofeudo closed his daily homily on his TH-cam channel confirming that the event was real, but denied being the source of any circulating photos.
The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolás is not in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, as claimed by Marshall. Although located in the province of Buenos Aires, San Nicolás is a diocese located 150 miles north of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, and only 40 miles south of the Archdiocese of Rosario, the seat of San Nicolás’ ecclesiastical province.
The Shrine has indeed refused to comment on or even acknowledge the strange episode. Neither on its official website nor on its Facebook or Instagram accounts, last updated on January 1, 2024, is there any mention of the event. A spokesperson for the shrine told CV that since January 1 is a holiday and a day obligation, there was no one available to comment.
CV has confirmed that the lightning episode has sparked concern and speculation in San Nicolás and Buenos Aires, especially since the shrine was turning 40 years old and many thought of 2023 as an emblematic year.
This is probably all bogus, examine both photos. If it was an act of God it would have been pulverized. In addition, God would have destroyed it totally. Look at the banner on the page, "GIVE" and many would probably give. No such thing in the bible about a pope, all man made to deceive.

That was no coincidence. Lightning usually hits the highest object in an area. But this bolt of lightning hit one of the lowest objects on the building, and to precisely take out just the keys and halo. Wow, this was definitely a bolt from the heavens.

Good observation. My understanding is that lightening travels to it''s nearest contact with metal. If that's correct then perhaps the staff, halo and keys are metal and the marble not a conductor. Having said all that.... I do believe this is a sign though.... its wayyyy too specific. Praise be Jesus and Mary

Jesus came the first time to bring us salvation. When He returns on the clouds He will return with His angels and bringing Justice with Him.
He gave us a church to teach us and lead us in our salvation. As per Dr Marshalls book "Infiltration" explains, our church has been infiltrated by a secret society.
Scripture tells us that in the last days "Ravenous wolves will enter the Church, bringing with them destructive Heresy's".... This happened with the dawn of Vatican II.
Read Revelation 13 : 7 It explains that one would arise and conquer God's people and also be given authority over, every nation tongue, and tribe.
What is needed on our part is prayer and reparations for sin.

I was in Munich Germany when a Palestinian protest got violent on a Sunday afternoon in Marian Platz where a storm suddenly appeared with lightning only in the center of the square where the protesters were. We watched from further back. That was a sign.

I’m from Buenos Aires and the storm on December 17 was completely out of the normal weather patterns for this area. Lots of trees fell in the city and its surrounding areas. It was scary cause it was 4 am on a Sunday and lots of people returning home from weddings (Saturday night) or other events. It’s entirely possible that the key and halo flew away and disappear, were before it had not. The meaning of this I don’t know but the day after, I felt there was something odd (spiritual in nature) about the storm itself cause it was such a freaky event, you should see the images and videos of really old trees which fell and were blocking the streets, lots of uprooted trees, which was kind of strange, power outbreaks, etc

Thanks for your comments and hope everyone reads it. This chaos is telling us to remain and stay very close to the traditions of the Catholic Church and to not pay attention to what goes against God’s laws. Playing a deaf ear from sinful thoughts and confusion is the best things to do. We should train our mind to absorb positive spiritual thoughts and rebuke the negative.

Lightning normally hits the tallest part of the structure. The fact that it hit an alcove at the base of the building means it is not a coincidence...
Yes… should have struck at the top of the dome or one of the tall pipe like objects on either side of the dome base. For lighting to miss the entire church and obvious paths to ground, and to strike in an obscured, well protected corner seems to defy the physics that govern electrostatic arcing events!! Does anyone know if the strike was a single event or part of a storm with many lighting strikes in close proximity? If a single strike, that makes this even more unnatural.

You see the statue in relationship to the church, it seems like a relatively small statue. Lightning carries a tremendous force/energy and I would think it would’ve obliterated the entire statue not just the most important parts of the statue, the halo and the keys. The fact that it did not obliterate the entire statue, and it only took out the halo and the keys…clearly a sign!!

The lightning was very specific. The halo and the key were ELIMINATED and left the rest of the head and the body left intact. And on Francis’ birthday in his own home diocese. This is not a coincidence - this is a sign that is easy to interpret.

Has nothing to do with medical science, or statistics...
Look at the location of the statue which is protected/shielded by its close proximity to the tall building and the antennas projecting high above the roof. A lightning discharge stroke originates from the highest points connected to the earth, and as the static charge builds up between the ground plane and sky/cloud plane it exceeds the air breakdown voltage across the closest/narrowest distances. This is physics and electrical engineering Science.

I was in the Adoration chapel where a woman was defending the Pope for his stance and saying it was the Holy Spirit, I told her the Holy Spirit grants graces to do the right thing, but he will not take away their self will.

Just as with the ancient Hebrews, there was but one temple authority so it is today with Catholicism one Church authority. The Hebrews too however had to deal with treasonous ungodly High Priests in their day . Like the apostles being tossed about on the boat at sea during the storm feeling their mortal life was in danger and perhaps tempted to jump overboard for safety . We today are like the apostles and the church is like that boat. But don't leave the boat for it will place your soul in peril. The bible says we should confess to one another in James 5:16. Also, I guess that a priest with his vow of confidentiality is the most comfortable way to do this.

Popes have been excommunicated too, like Pope Honorius for example. That's not even mentioning the various proven Papal forgeries used for centuries to support Catholic views of the Papacy like the Donation of Constantine, the Pseudo-Symmachian forgeries and the Pseudo-Isidorian Decretals.
The Chieti and Alexandria Documents even mention some of those above forgeries. Also read Saint Basil's Letter 67, Clement of Rome's Epistle to James the Apostle, Saint Augustine's Homily 2 on the First Epistle of John paragraphs 2 and 3. Heck even the 2nd Ecumenical Council calls the Church of Jerusalem the Mother Church. So how on earth is Rome somehow magically the Mother Church?

The lightning obliterated the halo, the key, (strangely, it appears that the statue is holding only one key, whereas statues and artwork of St. Peter usually show two keys) and partially or totally obliterated the right hand, which is used to bless and to administer blessings (blessing same sex couples, unions, bestiality, etc. etc. etc...). I do not believe this is a coincidence.
There are clearly two keys in the picture. The article states one is (was) gold, one silver.
More of a sign , is a powerful message .

Usually lightning will strike the highest point of a structure. Lightning striking a specific point on the low part of the structure seems to be deliberate. And it’s amazing that the staff of the image seems to be preserved and not damage. I’m assuming the staff is made of metal, the same material as the halo and key. It should have been obliterated with the halo and key. Not a coincidence.
For some reason the statue only had one key - the earthly silver key, not the the Golden key. Interested in who commissioned it to only have one?

This is odd, because most churches have a steeple with a lightning rod. It looks as if this statue is below the most highest point. Lightning rods are grounded so they don’t explode. These parts were metal and not grounded. But for the lightning to strike the statue, and not the steeple is very very strange..

I was looking at other TH-cam podcast pertaining to the same event and the halo wasn’t there for quite some time in that statue of Saint peter in the church of Bueno, Aires, so it was only the lightning striking of the one key and the hand of Saint Peter where he blesses the church. It’s very important to get the facts correctly so this way people are totally informed the way it really happened. That Church is located in Buenos Aires Province, near 80 km north of Buenos Aires City, which was the bergoglio´s diocese before beeing elected Pope. The halo and the keys, being made of metal, could have predictably reacted to a lightning in a different way than the stony statue. bergloglio itself is a living sign of the miracle of the surviving Church despite its hierarchy.
