@Richie Conlin yeah it is worse when I got my truck I was scrambling all over calling every dealership I can in the country nobody had any on the lot and nobody had any spaces to build a truck. I did look up and find one place in Virginia that had to get it from a sister company. Which was the very last one that they had. Everybody else was telling me at that time that it would be around about this time when I will be able to receive the truck. When I pick the truck up they said the orders was so backed up that if you were to order one in November you would not get it until the end of 2023
It's funny how manufacturers install screens in basically any vehicle, as an afterthought. It just look like somebody just stuck a tablet on the dash. Freightliner, really knows how to keep that cost down.
Hi Richard, I was building a truck on Freightliners website and it appears they don’t have the digital dash as an option anymore.. is this true? Do the new 2024 Cascadias not have the digital dash? If so that’s so weird I don’t get it, it was the one thing freightliner did that was actually cool..
@@richardconlin-firsttruckce5023 hmm, it must be a bug with their truck builder. They didn’t have it as an option anywhere and in the interior images it was the standard dash, so I thought maybe they already got rid of it. While I have you here, DD15 or Cummins?
@@ChrisDavis333 depends on what you’re looking for. Warranties and fuel efficiency? I’d go DD15. I feel it’s Freightliners edge in the market and you get the DT12 transmission too. There are situations where Cummins can be a better option though.
Month ago, I bought a brand new 2024 Cascadia. From 1st day, digital screens are not working properly ( settings are not staying in memory. Every time, I must adjust settings after starting the engine ). Android auto play, power inverter stopped working in the first week. The power steering pump and ABS got to fix in the second week. In cold weather, have big temperatures difference between the driver and passenger side plus have water leak from roof. In one month, my truck already had 3 warranty repairs. For ABS, I got to pay $1000 . Freightliner will install new digital screens, BUT screens are not available, and they don't have any idea when they will be able to fix it. Water leak and temperature issue they are not able to find.

@@keepontruckin870 Hey, one other thing worth mentioning. That screen has an on off button. Right in the middle of all buttons in the lower portion of the unit. Is it possible that screen is powered down?
@@richieconlin2966 I've pressed it, and even pressed held it down, but still nothing. I can hear it toggling when using steering wheel controls, but still a black screen. Figured out the satellite radio though thank God! Appreciate the reply man!
Hey Luis, Likely that your truck has an idle shutdown. Your best bet would be to use optimized idle to keep yourself and the truck warm. See my other video about optimized idle and parksmart for a how to on that.

How you likin the GPS in that one versus gettin a Garmin or somethin?

160k or more for that and you guys put a 2 small 7 inch screens and your designers should be prosecuted.

Is this available for 2020 cascadia evolution with dd15 engine?if so where can I get
As far as I know it’s only available on the 126 Cascadia, and only available if ordered from factory
How do you idle the truck with that dash?
It's similar to the legacy dash, use the steering wheel controls to increase idle or engage optimized idle. (Opt Idle is also on the media screen)
