Dirt biking is for those who love the thrill of speed and giving throttle and just moving quick and pushing where they can ride and what they can do to the limit, MTB Is for those who wanna be able to cool down and not have to worry about petrol and expensive repairs, but love the feeling of how free they are, no clutch no throttle, but a whole lot of speed and in comparison to dirtbikes on the air you can do so much more!

It is engineered and built specifically to do the kinds of things it was shown doing in the video, slow, precision balanced climbs and turns over what would be impossible obstacles for a dirtbike. The engines are built for a smooth even power delivery with no real concern about acceleration or top speed and it's suspension is designed with low speed stability and being able to soak up a drop straight down from an obstacle or terrain feature often on only a single wheel being in contact with the ground. These bikes take a very disciplined rider and years of practice to even begin to be competitive. While popular in Europe "Trials" competitions are not as widespread in the US. In a lot of ways a Trials rider and his bike share more in common with a mountain bike and a rider highly skilled at the low speed "Technical" type of mountain bike competition. A dirtbike would be completely unsuited in trials competition and to try and run a Trials bike the way a competition dirtbike is ridden would destroy the Trials bike in less than ten minutes. If you are going to post these kinds of videos I'd suggest you do a bit more research about the subjects being compared as well as paying attention to what is actually in the video clips you use as it will help you appear to know what you're talking about and easier to take seriously... Unless your goal is simply to get clicks, likes and comments by relying on viewers not knowing what they are seeing in which case your doing just fine.
Not really when you take into consideration the amount of grooming dirt bike trails have and also how much of the weight the suspension can take and there it also basically no picking lines or choosing pedal strokes
@@Grandpa6696 you must just be riding at tracks m8. Some of the harder enduro trails can get gnarly asf. Same can be said about mtb trails too though. It all depends on where you're riding. But in general, dirt bikes are just harder to ride due weight, clutch control, throttle control, etc.
I get that dirt biking is cooler but it’s just so much harder doing this on mtb cause the balance dirt bike have more weight and power making it easier to balance / jump / speed
Have you ridden a dirtbike before?? Try moving 200+lbs of blended metals that gravity fights vs complex carbon and overpriced / overengineered kids bikes

Dirt bike balancing takes a thousand times more skill than mtb balancing. So much more weight that can easily shift on a dirt bike. Takes a lot more skill. I’m not saying mtb balancing doesn’t take skill, it’s just less.

I have both. the mountain bike keeps you in better shape and your injuries tend to be minor. Although I admit mountain bike injuries are more frequent.

Mtb's are fun af, but ya can't compare to hitting a 100+ ft triple an whipping your bike basically upside down and backwards, pulling it back and landing smooth. Plus the sound of ur bike during that....nothing compares. Honestly hope that's how I leave this world, never feel more free than pulling off a huge whip.
